Nico was sitting on his couch, staring at the picture he had found in an old box. It was from just over ten years ago, the day he graduated high school.

Just a week before he disappeared. The other boy in the photo. The one that was kissing Nico's cheek. The one that had the bluest eyes and brightest smile. The one Nico had been in love with since freshman year.

A tear rolled down Nico's cheek as he gazed at the boy.

Why did it have to be him?

The two had gone on a date that night, and everything seemed fine. They had dinner, went to a movie (which they hadn't paid any attention to), and he had taken Nico home. He had left with a good night kiss and a promise to see him later.

Nico never saw him again.

A knock sounded on his door, and Nico quickly wiped the tears away. It was probably Hazel. She had said she was coming over.

"I'm coming!" Nico said when the person knocked again. He jogged over and pulled the door open. "Jeez, Hazel, don't be so-"

He stopped short when he saw the person. The familiar golden hair, blue eyes, and brilliant smile.

"W-will?"

"Hey, Neeks."

Nico jumped at him and gave him a huge hug, then pulled away and punched him.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD FOR TEN YEARS! WHY ARE YOU ON MY DOORSTEP," he yelled. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME CRY LIKE THIS? I HATE THAT I LOVE YOU! WHY DID YOU LEAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE?"

Will just wrapped him up in another hug, and stroked his hair as he cried. "I'm so sorry," he whispered.

Nico looked up at the other man and said, "Come inside, we have stuff to talk about." They sat on the couch, side by side, with Nico's head on Will's chest, as Will began his story.

"When I got home, I got a call that my mom was in the hospital. I rushed over there, but by the time I got there, she was already gone. I would have called you, but I left my phone at home. Plus, apparently, after I got the news, I passed out and hit my head. I was in a coma for almost a year, and when I woke up, I couldn't remember much of anything. My phone, after I found it, was a big help on names, but it still took seven years of therapy to remember completely, and another two to find you," Will said. He squeezed Nico tighter, and kissed the top of his head.

"You know, you could have just called me," Nico murmured into Will's chest.

"I wanted to surprise you," Will replied. "And now that I'm here, I'll never leave again."

Hehehe. Did I scare you at the beginning? Did you think this was actually going to be sad? Did you read the description? I am incapable of writing anything sad, remember?

Wow, that was a lot of questions.

Stay sparkling, my friends!
