Prologue
There was a time of change. A time of corruption. Destruction. Little did I know this was going to affect our lives. My life. As people died, I realized how precious life was. But maybe I just had it easy.
Because I was the only daughter of the King and Queen, I had full protection, like my own personal shield. Nothing could ever hurt me. So that’s what troubled me. While I had the best protectors, people in the lower residency died or were even murdered. It seemed wrong. It seemed selfish.
Living in the middle of this corruption was difficult as it seems. All because of this “selfish” behavior, I was the crooks choice for murder. If they kidnapped me, my parents would have to give money in order to get me back. That was the one factor that brought this country, Calabrye, down: money.
The wealthiest family in the country...with the wealthiest daughter…
Danger was everywhere.
