A/N: Alternative Picture of Leighton aka Rose :)
The day fell short after my punishment. With nothing to do, only listen to how much I’ve been missed, everything went back to normal. Lucy and I were reading different books in the living room, enjoying the quiet nature of it all. I was surprised that Lucy was able to cope with the silence.
"Hmm, alcoholics are so....obsessed it’s disgusting." she blurted out. I couldn’t help but to laugh at that random comment, yet something in her voice made me wonder, "Reminds me of poor Myra." she said as her eyes stayed glued onto the book. Now that caught me off guard.
"What?" I asked. She looked up to me.
"Right, you weren’t here. Anyways," she cleared her voice, "Myra has been having some issues lately. She’s gone and doesn’t come back until three in the morning. She’s out drinking, and she yelled at Sarah. Myra’s been having a hard time."
"But why so soon? She isn’t like that." I said carefully.
"It has been hard for her, and I’m still not sure why. She says that even she knows that what she’s doing is wrong." She paused. "You know what I think! Maybe she’s seeing things. Like, ghosts." she said as if she broke the case of the lifetime. I giggled quietly at Lucy as I shut the book.
"I doubt that theory of yours, Lucy. Besides, if she’s a bad person, we should even be with her or even talking about her." Of course I’d go talk to her. She was Myra, and although I don’t say it as often, but she’s still a friend.
"I guess." she studied her book.

Later that Afternoon…
"What about green?" Edmund asked. We sat under the tree next to the garden. He found me sitting under the large and thick tree, so he joined in. I didn’t mind as much as I thought I would. We were talking about the different colors I liked.
"No." I smiled.
"Why not? Green is the color of your eyes." He said as he observed my eyes deeply.
"Actually, I prefer kelly-green." I teased.
"Eyes like those are so vivid. Reminds me of a dense forest, exposed by the sunlight that gleams upon every living thing, and sways about." I laughed, embracing my stomach. His melodramatic voice was worth listening to.
"Are you phrasing Shakespeare? Should I be worried?" I knew it wasn’t Shakespeare but his well-rehearsed voice sounded like it. By now, Edmund was stuck up, a bit annoying but in a funny way. He was a tick on my body that I couldn’t avoid. No matter how hard I tried.
"What about pink? Pink as in the blush that flushes your cheeks." I rolled my eyes.
"Rose." I turned around and saw Daniel and Eric jogging towards us. I stood up on my feet to hug Daniel and only Daniel.
"I’ve missed you." I said, filling him with warm words. He chuckled through my hair.
"Missed you too, lollipop." I suddenly felt happy to see someone, other than Edmund.
"Is that your boyfriend, dear?" Edmund asked, his eyes trailed over Daniel as his face sickened. I watched Daniel face turn into annoyance and Eric’s turn into a confused expression.
"No, he’s a good friend of mine."
"Who’s the dude?" Daniel asked with an Italian accent, clearly teasing him.
"I," started Edmund, standing up, "am Prince Edmund from-"
Daniel held his hand in a halting gesture, stopping Edmund from making another sound. "Okay, you sound pathetic first of all. How about a good handshake?" Daniel suggested. Without a response Daniel grabbed his hand and shook it firmly.
