Longest chapter ever. Enjoy.

Sigh, I'm back here once again. Today of all days.

A fresh breeze entered my small caged window hitting my skin running a cold chill down my spine. I subconsciously shiver and bring my knees closer to my body to provide any warmth in this cold decrepit cell. I could feel the cold stone caress my back as it lulled me to slumber. I've lost count how many times I've slept.

My body felt weak and fragile, I couldn't even walk properly before collapsing. I guess that happens once three-fourths of your chakra suddenly leaves your body. I couldn't help but worry though.

Information on the outside was slowly coming to me at a comfortable pace for a criminal like me thanks to Kakashi. Apparently, Boruto still remains unconscious but stable. It seems that snake used poison in hopes to eliminate my son completely, however, she failed. Also, Shino Aburame survived the death blow which relieved me very much so.

My mind began to wonder what life for him would be like now. I contained that demon and carried it around my entire life. There was no doubt in my mind that soon host and tenant would meet. I just hope Boruto accepts it, accepts my sacrifice. I hope he isn't shunned like I was.

And so, I still remained here waiting for my certain death. They blamed me for my father's death. They blamed me for my weakness to protect the Hokage. And I hate to admit it, but it's true.

Over the span of two days, hell seemed to break loose. The death of Toneri seemed to spark an all out attack on me and my clan. They convinced the council members that I shouldn't get any outside contact until my trial was over. They even proposed a public execution for me. Which they surprisingly accepted. I can't blame them. I did kill them in front of witnesses.

Nevertheless, they deserved it. I completed my promise, I can rest with ease.

Hinata Hyuga, a worried mother, a concerned friend, a lonely wife. Yes, she was all those things. Some days were better than today. She sat in silence watching her bundle of sunshine softly snore. She would graze her fingertips in his closed soft fists and remind herself that this was real. The pale lavender eyed mother couldn't help but cry to herself. Was it relief? Anger? Hate? She didn't know.

She knew one thing though, the order of her Naruto execution was called for. Her friends and family alike all fumed and held back their rage like herself. Despite Naruto risking his life to save this very village. He was still branded a criminal. She cried and cried silently wishing for all of this to go away. She begged her father to oppose this decision but even he knew it was futile. Majority passed his execution.

The worst part of all, it was scheduled tomorrow at first light. She felt hopeless and full of regret. She clutched her fists until her knuckles turned white and sobbed it out of her soul.

She watched the window out into the cool orange sky, it calmed her a bit. The orange hue that reminded her of her Naruto softly embraced her aching heart. With a final sigh, she turned around and walked out of Borutos room, softly shutting the door as she stepped out.

"I'll be right back" she softly spoke letting the other person know.

The brunette softly nodded and watched the Hyuga with a gaze filled with worry. Tenten decided to spend the night in Hinata's home as she didn't want her to suffer this alone. Hinata was so grateful for a friend like her.

She waved the brunette away letting her know she was alright. She took the flight downstairs making the wood beneath her squeak comfortably. No words were exchanged between the two. Hinata took the scroll that was set in the small table near the entrance. She picked up her coat and undid the locks. She softly tugged the scroll inside her coat and turned the knob.
