Been real busy these past weeks. Enjoy.
It was a slow day of work for the onyx eyed Uchiha. Many plates were currently spinning.
He set the report down and grunted in annoyance, something very un-Sasuke-like. He didn't understand. There was something in between the lines of the report. A clue, a giveaway.
He closed his eyes and leaned back into his seat turning on the gears inside his mind, the words of the report replaying in his mind. He didn't know how many times he's read the five-page report. Point was, he memorized the damn report word for word.
Find anything Sasuke, please. Any little bit on your end would be a tremendous help. I'm counting on you!
The words of the confident Hyuga woman came to his thoughts. Everyone was putting in their work for any evidence.
Sasuke stood from his seat and stretched vigorously releasing the knots that formed.
"Naruto, why did you disappear that week. This really looks bad" said Sasuke as he held the report in his hand. He skimmed through it over and over reading the words he already knew we're there. They way of the murder. The middle-aged man. The Otsutsuki.
"There isn't even an alibi" sighed the Uchiha, he returned back to his desk and chair and sat down to his warm seat. He gulped down what remains of the cup of water and went right back to work.
Suddenly there was a knock on his door, "I'm here" Sasuke announced before eyeing the door, the soft click was heard and the door turned revealing a cute shy brunette peeking her head inside Sasuke's office.
"There's someone here to see you Sasuke-senpai," said the brunette while she watched the Uchiha. He didn't much take a look and rudely said "Tell them to leave"
"Are you sure?" questioned the girl.
"Yes, now le-"
"It involves the case you've been so interested in" she cut the man making him visibly flinch.
"Send him in" Sasuke voice completely changed, the brunette eyed him carefully, why the sudden change? Why was this case so important?
"Eh, I don't know, maybe she doesn't have any real information, and why is that case so important to you?" questioned the chocolate-eyed girl.
"Tamaki. Send. Her. In." said a serious Sasuke with the utmost authority making the girl jolt, she instantly bowed and shut his door while on her way to her duty.
Shortly after, the door opened once again revealing a nervous brunette. Sasuke silently asked her to sit which she anxiously complied, Sasuke's face remained passive while his mind was going through all sorts of theories. What connection do these two have exactly?
She sat fidgety on her seat and looked straight into the onyx man's orbs.
"What do you have for me, " Sasuke asked bluntly getting straight to the point. Tenten felt his intense gaze, she opened her mouth, however, words weren't coming out. She wanted to speak, but she couldn't. The air felt thick and suffocating all of the sudden. A very familiar and traumatizing aura.
Then an explosion went off...
Sending the very occupants inside screaming for fear...
It's had begun...
~
"Hokage-sama! There's been an explosion!" reported a shook soldier in chain mail, his weapon shook along with his armor. Minato looked at this man up and down and could tell how much fear this man had.
