"Can you ever be too far gone?" Sir Sly, Too Far Gone
I forgot the blade,
I can see it on my bed,
left behind like me.
I really need it,
I couldn't live without it,
I guess I'm dead.
I hear people say,
that sadness cannot kill you,
can't they see that I am already dead?
Can't they see I'm gone?
Swept up by the wind and rain,
fading like the storm.
I don't have a will,
I don't have a purpose,
the flame of life gone.
I can seem alive,
but my soul broke long ago.
the light has burned out.
I look at people,
and I see them so joyful,
why am I different?
maybe there is a light,
a place far in the distance,
but I can't see it.
I am utterly blind,
and I try but I can't see,
I am too far gone.
