Pat's POV

It's been a week since the incident. I'm currently staying with Gave to help take care of Rachael, even though he keeps on telling me that he can manage alone. I chose to stay. I want to stay. After Gave woke up, he forbid the other guys to visit nor come near Rachael. Though, everyday, I would find baskets or bouquets of roses left outside Rachael's room. It's colors changes each day; the other day it was blue, yesterday it was violet, then today it's red. I guess those guys are trying to reach out to Rachael just by sending her some flowers. Pity.

"Pat." Gave who was slicing some apples called out to me.

"Yeah?" I responded.

"Aren't your parents worried about you? You've been gone for a week and would only go home when you run out of clothes. I told you, you don't need to be here." He said. Carrying a plate of sliced bunny apples and placing them on the coffee table, sitting on the opposite sofa as me.

"I come back here alone. I have my own house. So, simply, I'm free and can do what I want. Besides, I wanna be the first person Princess would see when she wakes up." I took an apple and crushed it down as it exploded a juicy taste inside my mouth. It taste sweet.

"You're still gonna keep that silly promise of yours? C'mon, you're not kids anymore." Gave stated, bored.

"Yes. It was my Princess command, and I as the loyal knight, pledge to do so no matter what the odds thrown in my way." Gave burst out into a fit of laughter that filled the room.

"Knight? Princess? What is this? A fairytale? Hahaha" He was laughing so hard that he broke down to tears. How hateful. A week ago, he was like a mad man because his sister was shot, but now, he's laughing like nothing happened. Hateful. Hateful I tell you.

"Shut up." I got annoyed and just averted my eyes at Rachael who has a lot of tubes stuck on her body and laying half dead on that bed. I can't help but feel my heart broken into pieces.

If only. If only this is a fairytale. Then I could have woken you up with a love's true kiss.

"Rachael..." I heard Gave said. I was lost in a daze that I forgot he was still here. When I turned to face him once again, he was also looking at Rachael's direction. Now looking so hurt.

"Y-your mother? How about your mother? Does she know what happened to your sister?" I asked. Melting this depressing atmosphere. Gave turned back to me with a half hearted smile.

"Yeah, she knew. But she can't leave work until tonight." With that, he stood up and exited the room. I too stood up and went my way to Rachael's side. There, I held her hand tight and bowed, praying that my beloved princess would wake up. "...please..."

A bystander's POV

"Sir, you're already drunk, please stop and go home." The bar tender asked the slumped up guy and his other friends table beside us. They were here since morning and got their ass drunk.

"N-no! Shut up! We're not drunk yet. And where do you expect us to go when our Rachael is out there and sleeping? That s-stupid doctor said she won't w-wake up again." The guy with chestnut brown hair and eyes holding a bottle of vodka shouted back to the bar tender.

"Sir, can you give me your wallet?" The chestnut guy just gave his wallet to the bar tender as if he didn't gave a sh*t. I thought the bar tender would steal that guy's money, but instead, he took a card from it and returned the wallet back to the drunk guy. He then went back to his station and dialed something to the telephone.

"Yes-please take them home-they're too loud-yeah-thank you." Then he ended the call. He returned back to those drunk guys table and told them someone would pick them up in a couple of minutes.
