Xerxes POV
"Amnesia? Is it collective?" I asked. We all cannot handle the loneliness and longing for that girl so we gathered up our courage and was ready to face the anger of his brother. But as we were about to reach her door, a nurse who come out of the room was rushing to find the doctor, there we run in. Finding a scene that mixed our emotions even more."No. Apparently, she forgot everything." The woman replied with a frown. Pat still had that hurtful look in his eyes while looking at the clueless Rachael. Not only Pat, but me and the gang also.
This. Everything is because we were pressuring her from choosing one of us and also the fact that we kept our other identity a secret.
"Doctor Jessy, thank you." Rachael's mom thanked and got a nod from the woman as she excused herself out of the room. "Gave, I have to go. I'll leave Rachael to you, okay sweetie?" Gave looked at his mother with unbelievable eyes, "I know. I know. Why am I leaving my daughter at a time like this? Gave, you know-" she was cut off by the look Gave was giving her.
"Mom, its okay, I got this. Just be back early as you can, okay." A tear escaped from his mother's eye as he coped his mother's cheeks and kissed her forehead. She said goodbye to Rachael one last time as she wiped her tears while leaving the room.
"Why are you guys here?" Gave asked in a husk voice, eying all of us. "I told you to stay away from my sister."
"We know, but-" Rick was cut off by a female voice we were dying to hear.
"Ahm, excuse me. Not to be rude by interrupting, but can someone explain to me what's going on?" The girl sitting on the bed was looking at all of the people in the room questioningly. Gave immediately come to his sisters side and took her hand.
"I'm your brother, Gave. And your name is Rachael Ann Phill. Right now, the reason you are very confused is because you had an amnesia. You were hit by a bus on your way to school. All your questions will be answered but you need to rest first, okay?" She nodded.
"But can I ask one thing?" She asked. Her voice still sounds the same, but as it reaches our ears, it sounded lifeless. It's like she's talking to a stranger.
"Sure. What is it?" Her brother said.
"Who are these people then?"
So she really doesn't remember us. I felt like my heart torn itself apart. Pat quickly went to Rachael's other side and also took her hand.
"It's me, Pat. Patruce Starland. Your childhood friend."
"And who are they?"
All of us looked at each other, finding the voice we lost minutes ago. As I was about to open my mouth, Gave beat me into it.
"They're no one. Don't mind them. They just got lost, that's all." He stood up and signaled us to go out side, making that bastard Pat look after Rachael.
When we were all outside, no one broke the silence and waited for a minute or two for someone to do something about this silence.
"Like I said, I forbid all of you to come near Rachael ever again." Gave stated,of course we protested, but he shushed us by punching the wall, a few inches away was Bryle's face. We all shut our mouths.
"Haven't you guys ruined her life already? Do her a favor and stay away from her!"
He does have a point. We were useless. I was useless. Now that we found a person to protect, the truth to it, we are the ones who brings Rachael to harm.
"I will hide Rachael and make sure she won't ever remember you bastards, even if she do, I'll make sure she will be a new person by then. I will protect my sister from you X gang's even if it's the last thing I do." With that, he went back to Rachael's room, leaving us in our dismay.
