3rd Person's POV[ 10 years ago]
A petite little girl was sitting alone on a swing, a few meters away from the other children, looking at the cheerful kids playing with their own friends. No one wants to be friends with her because she was somewhat 'weird' for the other kids. She was always quiet and didn't really associate much, she just always read some kind of comics, it was somewhat called a manga according to her. As a matter of fact, she didn't really care if no one wants to be friends with her, she's fine without them anyway.
"Hey, weird girl." A voice calls out. She looks up, tracing up the shadow in front of her. "Wanna play?" He asked, holding a red ball. The kid would always call her names and bully her in front of other kids, but he sometimes asks the girl if she wants to play with him.
"W-why?" With her small voice, she managed to ask.
"Huh?-" Before the boy could even continue his sentence, a voice manage to step in their little conversation.
"Quit b-bothering her." A new yet familiar voice commands.
The other kid scoffed at the new arrived boy, "Why isn't it, fatty Pat." The kid had a devilish grin on his lips while he was walking towards the fat kid who is trembling in fear. The little girl was just watching them, nervous of what might happen next. The kid put his arm around Pat's shoulder and smiled brightly to her.
"Hey. Since dumb Patric is here, why not play with us now?" The little girl was dumbfounded, not only her, also the trembling fat kid was confused on what's happening. "C'mon, I won't bite. I just wanna play." He managed to show his most genuine smile ever.

"But I wanna be the knight in shining armor!" Pat whined.
"No! I'm the knight here!" The boy said, which was named Kevin.
"But I wanna be Rachael's knight!"
"I said no! I am!"
The three of them were playing princess and knight dress up, but it seems like the two boys were having a trouble on whom should take the role of a knight. Of course, our little Rachael is the princess.
"Guys, please stop fighting!" The little girl wearing a cardboard tiara tried to calm the two whining kids. Pat and Kevin turned to look at the pleading Rachael, both of them had an idea.
"Rachael, who do you choose as a knight?" They said in unison, both had hopeful eyes.
She was nervous, she couldn't choose, "A-ahm, I-" Her eyes move from Pat to Kevin, "I-I guess both o-of you can be a knight." She hold her breath in, closed her eyes, waiting for the whaling and blabbering of the two boys, but nothing come. She opened her eyes, looking around but no one was there. "Guys?" She sat down on the grass disappointed, maybe they got hurt because she wouldn't pick one of them.
"Rachael." A voice called out behind her. Spinning around, she saw the two boys wearing silly cardboard armor. "I'm the black knight and Pat is the white knight. Together, we will protect you." Her frown turned into a bright smile, as they played along with destiny.
------
"Pat! Kevin!" The girl waived at the two boys who are about to enter the school gates. The girl surely was lovely, they both thought. As the years go by, she started to have a curved body and her features kinda matured. "OMG! Today, we're second graders, oh I can't wait to have fun with you guys again. This break was kinda lonely without you guys."
