Ann's POV
We all stood there in silence. Even Gave who was screaming and punching at the plain air was now glued still and looking at me then on Pat. Both of them was sharing a gaze then back on me.
"What?" I shrug. The cat jumped out of Pat's arms and walked towards me, I crouched down to pick it up.
"Y-you said, Gave has a trauma with cats when you guys were still kids?" Pat asked.
"Yeah." I answered.
"But you have an amnesia!" This time, it was Gave. My hand came to halt with petting the soft fur of the cat in my arms. He's right. Supposedly, I have an amnesia, but how on earth did I know about Gave and the cat incident.
Pat whom saw my reaction and sudden quietness suggested to go inside.
"Ann. Do you remember anything else?" Gave asked. Sitting opposite of me, glaring at my direction, well more likely on the cat.
I looked up in the ceiling, resting my head on the back of the couch. I closed my eyes. Well, as a matter of fact, at the time I saw that cat, a memory of Gave with another cat jumping on him and scratch his face. And there was also this time with Melli- "No. Nothing other than with the cat." I lied. I can't tell them about the memory at the time with Melli. If I tell them about her, they'll definitely stalk her and gather researches and stuff like that. No. I can't do that. Even though I rudely-ish waved her away earlier, I still have a chance to befriend my ideal girl!
"I see." Pat said before standing up. "It's rather late, go and get some sleep. You can keep the cat, but don't let it roam around, we don't want Gave stepping on that poor thing." I nod while smiling widely and Gave who let out a 'hey' from the side. I walked up the stairs to my room. But I stopped half way. Crouching down to hide. It was a perfect spot to over hear the two guy's conversation.
They waited for a minute or two just to make sure I was really in my room by now, "She actually remembered something this time. Well we know she sometimes fake that she remembers everything to scare us," I laughed silently, "but this time, she actually remembered something!" Gave panicked.
"Dude, just chill." Pat said calmly. Gave took breaths then slowly, his tensed body is now calmly seated on the sofa.
"She just remembered a past memory. Besides, it's a harmless memory-" He stopped, Gave let out a small yelp, "For her.""Yeah right." Gave stood up and went to the kitchen. I was about to 'really' go up to my room when I heard something that Pat said to himself, "I just really hope it's harmless."
I jumped in my minted color bed and tucked the cat beside me. Man, what a day. I hope things would be better in my dreams.
------
My eyes slowly opened as the sun's rays that got through my window woke me up. I yawned and stretch as I took a glimpse of my phone. It's freakin six in the morning. I groan. At this rate, once I woke up, I can't go back to sleep anymore. So, I took a quick shower and went my way to the kitchen. Making myself a sandwich with lots of beacon and left a note for the boys that I went out ahead.
"Meow~" The cat kept on following me all the way to school, I somewhat gave it two or three beacon on the way which is somewhat surprising, I never share my beacons to anyone and anything.
"Rachael?"
I continue to walk.
"Hey, Rachael."
Just walk.
"Rachael!"
Keep on walking, jus- oh f*ck it.
"Oi, Rach-"I swirled around and as fast as lightning, I took the guy's arm and lifted him, this earned a girly yelp from him. "O-Oi! Put-Put me down!" He screamed.
As the nice person I am...
Ehm
I let him down.
With a 'thud'
He was now sitting on the ground and rubbing his butt due to the impact. "Hey woman! Are you even human to lift me like that?!" He growled. I just stood there, looking at him. But suddenly, a flash of light hit my head, well, more like a memory.
---------
"Hey woman, remember, I still don't like you, nor trust you!" He said. Hiding a blush and avoiding eye contact.
Chuckle, "I know, dog. You don't need to remind me that." I said, ruffling his hair.
"Hey, don't do that! I'm not a kid anymore." OMG, even though he's angry, he's cute.
"Nah, you will always be a kid. Even I do. All of us. Kids with dreams." I flashed a bright and genuine at him. Slowly, he looked at me. And just like a flu, he also had the same bright smile on his face.
--------
"Hey." I was snapped back in reality when the guy I just lifted off the ground was in front of me, he had a worried expression, but as soon as our eyes met, it transformed back to its lifeless and cold gaze. "You were spacing out." He said, averting his eyes to a different direction.
"Oh." I simply said. My mind was blank, still processing what the hell just happened. It was a memory. I can't really remember the guy's face when I snapped back in the real world. If it wasn't for this guy- I just realized something.
"Hey! You! You did this!" I pointed at the guy who had an eye patch at his left eye, his right brown eye widened then shifted into a confused expression.
"What are you talking about?"
"It's because of you, I can't remember that guy's face." I angrily growl.
He scoffed, "Excuse me, but I guess you were hallucinating. Actually, if there is someone whom needs to be accused, that is you." This time, it was his turn to point at me. Oh that dirty finger, if he was just a few inches near me, I could have bite it off.
"Well, excuse you, what did I do to be accused?"
"If you don't remember, you were the one who lifted me off the ground then threw me back with a great force."
I was silent.
Gulping down my saliva.
He was now glaring at me. Each step he take, I was stepping back.
"Oh, you have gone silent. Are you admitting defeat?" He now has a cheeky smirk on his lips, inches away from me.
"N-no I'm not!" I shutter. Darn it, I'm shuttering.
"Nah, I believe you lost this fight, princess." His face was only an inch away from my face. I could feel his breathe tickling my skin.
"Dude, I think you should take a breath mint or two, your mouth smells like rotten eggs and an athlete's soggy socks." I pinched my nose and grimace. I back away and picked up my cat. "Now, I believe you're the one who lost this fight." I left him there, blinking in disbelief. At the corner of my eye, I saw him licking his hand and smelling it. I swear I heard him, "Darn you Nicky! I shouldn't have ate that breakfast that she cooked."
Actually, I lied. It doesn't smell bad at all. I just made it up to get away from that creep. I smiled triumphantly as I walk my way to school. But I stopped when I agin realized something.
Who was that guy again? I think I saw that guy from before.
I looked back at my tracks. The place where I left the guy was way far from where I am now.
Nah, I freakin don't care who in the world that guy is. Besides, I won't ever see him again.
