"I can't take it anymore. I have to tell this to you. Its time you know the truth."

"W-what?" My lips quiver and my whole body shook. Maybe because of the fact that I almost got run over by a car or Kevin is about to say something that will definitely shook me whole. What is it that he wants to say to me? What truth? "Please, come with me. I have to show you something." He whispered into my ear, I can feel the vibration of his breath, same with his fast heartbeat.

I know we haven't been the best of friends, or just friends to the very least. But I can read in his words that he's sincere—sincerely hurt. I nodded my head as he continue to embrace me. Later, he let me go. I tried searching his gaze, but he keeps on avoiding it with mine. He started to walk away, so I followed him. While walking a few minutes, my phone vibrated. It was a message from Gave.

[From Gave: I know you're still upset, but at least come back home. Pat won't be sleeping here tonight, his dad called him over their house, he's spending the night there.]

Typing an 'ok' as a reply, Kevin called my name. We stopped at a condominium building. I can't help wonder, does he live here? It's kinda fancy. "What are we doing here?" I asked, trying not to sound so nervous. He didn't answer, he just walked straight in the building and went to the receptionist. He asked something, then the brown haired lady behind the counter smiled at him. Then handling him a room key.

I swallowed hard, damn, I'm starting to to regret following this guy. My palms started to get sweaty, and my teeth gashed with each other, chewing the side of my mouth. Kevin turned back to me and motioned to take the elevator. I again gulped down my saliva before stepping on the elevator behind me, he to stepped in. Now, we're stuck in an awkward silence—more like, it's just me who's in an awkward situation in the most awkward silence.

With a hoarse yet shattering voice, I asked, "W-what are w-we doing here?" He just looked at me, not moving an inch, and face all flushed red. Gosh, can this piece of metal box move any faster. He took an unexpected step forward, then another step towards me. Damn, I can't help but be nervous. Not long, an inch of space was between us, I again can feel his breath—smells like mint. He hugged me for like a minute earlier, but his presence now, just gives me the chills. He's like a different him than usual.

Since he's taller than me, he has to lean forward to match my face. His stare was too, hard to decipher. It's like a dark abyss, I can't see through the bottom. By seconds, his face came forward, I was mentally panicking. Since my back was already slumped at the wall, I can't move backwards. I already know what will happen, but my body refuses to move. The heck, I could have just moved to the side if I can't step backwards, but no.

I closed my eyes, readying myself from the impact of our lips, but nothing came. Nothing. Only a slight tap on my shoulder. I snapped my eyes open, only seeing Kevin's forehead on my shoulder. He was breathing heavily. When I touched his forehead to move it away, it was steaming hot. He's feverish?

"Stupid. You can't even tell if someone's sick?" He said, smirking. I wanna punch his face so bad, but now that I knew he's having a fever, I just can't help but feel a little pity and sympathy. "Give me the room keys." I demanded. He took his head off my shoulder to look at me, "What room keys?" He asked, raising a brow.

"Oh please, the key that you ask for the receptionist earlier." With a 'ding' the door finally opened. I walked out, but noticing that Kevin didn't follow me, I looked back. He was against the wall, panting hard. Then, suddenly, he fell on the floor. Good thing, I caught him before he collides with the floor. "Don't be stubborn and give me the keys." I again demanded, but lowered my voice this time.
