Davina smiled. It was finally the right time to use her powers.

Her left hand took action. She raised it while it was directly facing the woman above her. Her? She stood speechless, just for a few seconds. But those couple of seconds were enough for Davina to make a move. The woman suddenly was thrown away, so easily as if she was as light as a feather, as harmless as a little snowflake. The young witch slowly stood up. Yes, she was in control now.

She knew she shouldn't use her powers for too long because she would expose herself not only to Kyle and Ethan, but to the remaining hunters too. That's why with a flick of the wrist she tossed the woman on a tree, a cracking sound coming from her bones. Good. Her right hand was broken.

"You..!" she growled, her teeth chattering with anger. "... I knew it. I knew it you were a-"

Davina did not allow her to finish her sentence. She had sped her pace up, with Kol's knife in her hand, bending down in front of the woman. The knife's blade was slightly pressed against the woman's neck, something which made her gurgle and gag.

"Yes. I am exactly that. And you hunt down my kind. Why? What has it done to you, to humans, to hate us so much?" she uttered, her voice slightly cracking due to her anger and frustration.

The woman laughed ironically. "Is that what you're after for? Answers?" she spat monotonously. "Too bad you're out of luck today, little girl. Better to just kill me off. If, you have the courage of course."

Davina narrowed her eyes.

"I mean you don't seem the kind of witch who has killed many people before. Are you even able to take a life?" she taunted her a bit more, her blue eyes glistening. What was she trying to achieve?

Davina chuckled. Oh, this woman had no idea who she had to deal with. Davina Claire might have been young, but life had made her cruel even at such young age. She wasn't afraid to kill a guilty person. And that woman, god, who knows how many innocent lives she had taken before. She was evil. She was mean. She was cold and did not even hesitate to kill Davina.

The girl leaned in, bringing her lips closer to the woman's ear. "You're nothing but a monster. And monsters have no place in this world."

A sudden gasp escaped the woman's mouth. Her throat was slit open, the knife's blade covered in blood. Davina stood up, watching her worthy opponent as she took her final breath.

And abruptly, everything went silent again. The sounds of weapons clanking and wielding had stopped, the screams and yells had died out; it was peaceful as if nothing had happened just a few minutes ago. The atmosphere felt different than before. Everything had changed.

When Davina Claire raised her gaze, she was surprised; she could only spot the corpses of the hunters, laying there still. The ones who had died first were already covered with a thin layer of snow. Her three companions were breathing heavily, their weapons still in hand as if they hadn't realised that the battle was finally over. They were exhausted. For them, the battle seemed to last just for a few minutes but, the sun going down was telling otherwise. They must have been fighting for hours.

Ethan chuckled, wiping a few drops of sweat from his forehead. "We did it." he murmured and smiled again.

Thud.

Kyle, Ethan and Davina turned their heads as soon as they heard a loud sound. Kol had passed out right there, the blood still gushing out of his open wound like a sprinkler. His face was pale, just like his lips while his breaths were coming short from his mouth.
