My attitude suddenly spiked upon seeing the demon's face.
"Nari. You should remember since you were the one who tried to kill me."
He raised his eyebrows in surprise as my shyness disappeared.
"Right. That was just for survival. You're lucky that I didn't. I'm sure you would've tasted delicious though," his tongue swiped the corner of his lip. I narrowed my eyes at him in disgust.
"It's a really bad habit to play with your food," I hissed.
Before he could say a response, Amanda interrupted.
"Alright I can tell you two are gonna get along just great!" she patted his shoulder with a wink at me.
His red eyes glistened.
"I'm hungry," Taehyung whined.
"We'll make something to eat," Darlene suggested. Her and Jin headed to the kitchen. Amanda asked me if I wanted to sit but I just wanted to be alone.
I walked into the kitchen, seeing Darlene and Jin laughing over a joke I didn't catch.
"Can I help with anything?" I asked. I just needed something to keep my mind off of everything. With me, cooking and reading had always been the answer for that.
"Sure, go ahead and stir the pan," Jin said as he cut the vegetables.
I did as I was told. I didn't hear the kitchen door open or close but I could feel an annoying presence.
"I think we got off to a bad start," Jimin stood next to me.
"You think?"
I looked at his eyes that were the same shade of red as my own.
"Fair enough," he turned so his back leaned against the counter, "Let's just start over. I'm Jimin."
He put his hand out.
"I'm busy."
My focus was on the pasta as Jin and Darlene continued dumping the contents in the pan.
"Hi, Busy. Nice to meet you."
I glared at him.
"Might I say, you have beautiful eyes."
"Yah! Just go away! I swear to god, if you say one more word-"
"What will you do?" he had a hint of warning in his voice.
"Just. Stop. Talking."
He seemed to grant my request almost immediately. With his arms crossed and resting against his muscled chest. His red eyes constantly staring at me or at something that was close to me.
The fire seemed to be getting bigger and bigger even though I wasn't even touching it. Darlene called a name to go set up the table. I turned my head for one second only to realize she called Amber. When I turned back around the fire was massive.
My hand jolted back and the fire suddenly calmed. What the hell?!
Jimin placed a red apple up to his lips and took a bite but I could clearly see the amusement on his face. I looked over at his fake innocence. He shrugged his shoulders as he took another bite.
"You did that, didn't you?!" I wanted to smack that apple out of his hand. He shrugged.
He pressed his finger against his lips. I realized he was telling me he wouldn't say a word. As I wished for.
"Since you're granting requests, here's one for you. Leave. Me. Alone."
I walked away from him and into the dining room. Stella widened her eyes as I sat down in my chair with a 'hmph'.
