We hadn't heard any news about Catherine for months already. Once again, it was as if she had never existed. But that was the problem. That she had existed. Not a giggle of happiness or smile of hope had been seen since the incident. I found Jimin spending most of his days in silence and wouldn't see him for weeks at a time. He barely ever spoke to me. On the occasion I would see him, he would glance at me with no expression and then continue on his way. Did what happened mean nothing to him?

"Come on," I opened the door for Scotty and he pounced into the snow. My boots trudged through the snow, making a loud crunch sound beneath my feet. "Jin's been liking snow lately, don't you think?" I turned my head and Scotty seemed to tilt his head in quiet agreement. "Or maybe it's not just Jin who's feeling cold..."

I looked back at the mansion. My eyes gazing over the amazing size of it. I inhaled the frosty air and let it out in a cold exhale as my attention turned back to in front of me.

"What happens next?" I sighed to myself.

Scotty rubbed the top of his soft head against my fingers, urging me to scratch his head. I rubbed away the small bit of white snow on the tip of his nose and worked up on his head, smoothing over his fur.

"Why can't all men be like you, Scotty?" I whispered. "Loyal, sweet, caring-"

"Normal?" A voice spoke from behind me, causing my hand to jolt in surprise. I turned my head and a pair of emerald green eyes met mine.

"Amanda," I blinked in surprise. Scotty ran up to her with a wagging tail. "H-How long have you-" she looked into my eyes.

"Long enough to understand how you feel," she sighed. I was speechless, afraid she was going to judge me and tell the others and make them hate me more than I hated myself already. "Did I ever tell you how I came to this place?" she sat on the steps that weren't covered in snow. I shook my head. "Taehyung had been sent to my world by Yoongi, and let me tell you, my world was definitely different than here."

"From what I remember, my father was never around after my little brother was born, and my mother died from giving birth. And one night, dad never came home, so I was the only one raising him." I slowly sat next to her but her eyes couldn't seem to meet mine anymore. "The day I met Taehyung was when he was at the wrong place at the wrong time." She paused and took a deep breath.

"Noona! Are we going to the festival today?" The five year old excitedly exclaimed. Amanda gave a glowing smile.

"Are you excited?"

"I took my brother to a festival, and there were crowds and crowds of people. When I looked back and my 5 year old brother wasn't behind me, I remember how my heart dropped to my stomach. I quickly realized that he had been kidnapped by one of the many men my father had wronged. Even though Taehyung didn't know any better yet he chased after him because he knew something was wrong."

"Agh!" A young boy held his stomach as he was repeatedly kicked and held down by four men.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Do you even know whose son this is?!" The man aggressively kicked harder and harder. The small boy sobbed behind the man and looked up to see his sister watching the scene with shock.

"Noona-"

"Stop it, stop it!" Amanda screamed, she came between the two defenseless boys and the aggressive group. She pushed them back, suddenly before she could even react, the feeling of a sudden impact upon her head knocked her to her feet.
