I painted over my blemishes, accentuated my brows and lashes, colored my lips with a crimson red. I stared in the mirror and forced a smile through my mask. My hands ran a brush through my straight hair over and over and over again. I tied my shoes just right. I put myself together. I pulled myself together with a deep breath before heading out.

We all wore giant fur coats to cover our dresses and to protect us from the cold. I followed the girls to god only knew where. When we arrived, I only saw an empty ballroom. On the other side of the ballroom, the boys were looking at us with the same blank stare that we had. I saw Jimin in his tuxedo and my heart must have skipped a beat.

Each boy had a special glow in their eyes for their girl. That moment was suddenly interrupted as a I noticed a shimmering shown through a few inches away from me. I slowly walked towards it. I felt as if I had walked through a wall to a different planet. I immediately realized it was a dome that was surrounding the ballroom. It made the gods invisible and they all appeared before my eyes.

"Ahh! We were wondering which of you would figure it out," a woman approached me. All the women in the room were wearing flower crowns and they all generally glowed very brightly.

"All of our guests of honor have arrived, everyone!" The woman greeted and called the attention of the many people in the room. For the first time in a while, I felt extremely shy. The woman took all of our fur coats and revealed each of our similarly styled dresses.

A much deeper voice suddenly came closer to us. I recognized that voice and Amber did too. It was voice of the god who "killed" Catherine.

"Such a pleasure to meet these beautiful, young women! I do apologize for waiting so long to have this ball but we were waiting for all of you to arrive. Now that all of you have arrived, we wanted to hold this ball to congratulate you on the good news."

Due to the look on all of our faces, none of us knew what he was talking about. We all stared at him with a blank face. What good news?

"Please enjoy." the man smiled. I nodded in appreciation. As I walked past all the gods, they applauded and made a space for us to walk through. We walked to the middle of the ballroom where they had circled around and made an empty space. On the other side, the boys stood across us.

My cheeks turned red as a tomato as soon as I noticed him staring at me. If I could, I would cover my body with my hands. I looked up for a second and Jimin's red eyes met mine. He walked towards me and the music interrupted him midway.

"My dear guests, I give you the honor of the first dance!" The god bellowed.

I hesitantly placed my hand on his shoulder and was even more hesitant to hold his hand but he suddenly grabbed it anyway.

Our feet moved in rhythm to the music. He extended his arm as I executed a spin.

"Who is he?" I whispered. I carefully glanced over at the God as he was distracted. I tried to make my face look as if I were having natural conversation.

"He's just one of the many gods who made us and has been awaiting this day for a long time." Jimin smiled. He was following my lead.

"Doesn't he have a name?"

"He never gave me one to call him by." I tilted my head in curiosity. So the demons they created were just for their entertainment? Soon everyone else was dancing and circling around us.

"Have you ever been to one of these?" I asked him.

"Only once. With Catherine." He said her name with such comfort in his tone. If I hadn't known he was acting I would've thought his mood was genuine. "They want us to show our affection for each other so I hope you'll forgive me if I do anything surprising... like if I say how magnificent you look in this gown." His words sounded so sincere, my heart ached. He lowered his arms and we did a dip.
