to be restrained to these boxes.
I refuse,
to be sorted into two categories.
I refuse,
to be defined by my gender.
I refuse,
to be asked whether I'm girl or boy,
Because I'm neither,
and my gender does not define me.
A/n: Now would be a good time to announce that these poems are addressing many issues in our society that I may not be necessarily hindered by or discriminated against for, but I find them important and necessary to talk about. I am not non-binary, but I know some people who are but don't have the voice to speak up about it. That's what I'm here for.
