Chapter Four
"She's here!!" Rae announced as we got into the house. Everyone turned around and smiled.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
Alec walked up to me with Kelly along with Emma and Tristan smiling at me.
"Damn since when did our little sister look so amazing, twin sister?" Alec pinched my right cheek.
"I know! It's like she isn't our little sister, right twin brother?" Emma came and squeezed my other cheek. Great. They were doing that twin thing again.
"Do not touch the birthday pet, for this is her special day!" Tristan pointed his finger in the air. I gave them a pointed look.
"Don't ask." Emma rolled her eyes.
"Anyways, enjoy the party!" Kelly laughed and dragged the destructive group off to the back of the house.
I looked around for Rae but instead saw someone else I wish I hadn't. Daemon was standing by the pool with one of the cheerleaders from school. My blood started boiling. That jerk!
"Rae where are you!?" I sent through the pack link. I turned around and walked away avoiding that jerk.
"I'm right here!" She called up from behind me making me jump.
"Let's start plan revenge." I smirked.
"Oooohhh! I was waiting for you to say that!!" She clapped her hands together. "Okay you know what to do right?"
I nodded walking to the pool. Daemon was still standing at the same spot with the same girl. I walked up to him ignoring the girl next to him.
"Wanna dance?" I smirked when he nodded. This is going to be so much fun, I was practically jumping inside with excitement as I led him into the house.
We started dancing to the music. His hands were on my waist and I swayed my hips matching the rhythm. His grip on me tightened as I continued. When the song was over I stopped and pulled him towards a quiet room laughing.
"Mine." Daemon suddenly held me close and whispered in my ear. He leaned in for a kiss but I moved away.
"Nope." I popped my "p" and smiled. I leaned in to his ear,
"I'm that mate that you rejected." I whispered and nibbled on his earlobe making him moan.
"Don't be irrational Ella." He whispered. Irrational huh?
"I'm not though?" I faced him tilting my head to the side giving him an innocent smile. He tried to lean in for a kiss again but I stopped him by putting my finger against his lips.
"Would you stop that or I will-" He groaned against my finger in frustration. It took all my might to not laugh.
"Or you will do what?" I smiled again but this time he pulled me up against the wall, his face was so close that our noses were touching.
"I will do this-" he leaned in and smashed his lips against mine. He pushed me even closer to the wall making sure there was no space between us. I gasped letting his tongue enter my mouth. He tasted like beer and chocolate.
"Yes!" My wolf squealed. "You are finally together!!"
Then the realization hit me. I can't have him winning, even though it feels beyond amazing.
"WHAT!?" My wolf screamed in my ear. "NO! Don't push him away!!"
I managed to block her out and tried to pushed Daemon away which I realized was really hard doing due to this kid's 8-pack. A very good 8-pack. No, Ella focus! Instead of pushing him, I decided to knee him in the stomach instead. He groaned and fell on the floor. I'm so grateful that I agreed with Tristan to give me self-defense classes.
"What the-" Daemon looked at me. I kneeled down on the floor and grabbed on his shirt collar.
"You rejected me, remember?" I looked directly at his hazel eyes and smirked. I was surprised when he smirked back.
"You're playing a dangerous game Ella."
"Well then, game on Alpha." I gave him a cocky grin and left the room leaving him shocked on the floor.
I was searching for Rae amongst the million other people that were crowding my house. I saw Emma and the rest on the deck with their friends dancing to the music. I decided to join them instead and sent a message to Rae through the pack line. Alec saw me and ran to hug me but I moved to the side dodging him because I was so done with the death squeezes. Kelly went over to Alec patting him on the back as Tristan pointed at me motioning me to come close with his index finger.
"So where is Romeo my dear pet or should I say Juliette?" He wiggled his eyebrows with the creepy smile on his face.
"What?" How the hell did he find out?
"A little bird told me that you found your mate. So who is he?" He nudged me winking. A little bird?
"Umm..." If they find out the rejection, Daemon is dead! Daemon might be the alpha of the second strongest pack, but ours is the first strongest.
"Mate?! Who is it?" The group surrounded me.
"....Daemon" I mumbled to myself.
"Daemon? Daemon Wilton? The alpha of the Blood Moon pack?" Alec asked with his arms crossed.
"Umm yea.." I tried to find Rae in the crowd of people but failed to do so.
"Well aren't you going to introduce him?" Emma grinned and pulled the same derp face as Tristan did. I swear they were really meant for each other. Wait...did they just ask me to introduce Daemon to them? The mate that rejected me? Shit!
"He uhh left though." I tried to come up with something fast but it didn't work so well.
"Don't be scared Ella, we don't bite. Well Alec does, but I got him." Kelly chuckled. I nodded and walked off to find him but first I needed to find Rae. I saw her in the kitchen and walked up to her.
"Help! They know and they want to meet you-know-who!!"
"Calm down! Just pretend you get along with each other." She said throwing a chip into her mouth.
"We don't even get along with each other, remember?!" I reminded her.
"Just try it!" She waved me off and started dancing with Kevin. Wonderful! She's drunk and not helpful. I walked around till I found Daemon with his friends. Well here goes nothing.
"Hey!" I smiled and waved. Matt, Daemon's Beta looked up at me and winked until Daemon growled warning him. I stood next to Daemon and held onto his arm.
"Mind if I borrow him for a while?" I winked at Daemon. He smiled at the guys and followed me to the deck.
"So you finally realized that you want me." He smirked. BIG ASS EGO RIGHT THERE!
"Don't flatter yourself. I'm saving your life right now so act like we care for each other." I lied. I did want him, but an alive Daemon is so much better than a dead one. Emma saw us and squealed. God, this is embarrassing!
"So you are the mate of the princess pet?" Tristan came up to Daemon clasping his shoulder. He looked really deadly and serious for a guy who just stole my OJ this morning.
"Yea!" I answered for him smiling.
"Me and my mate." I hugged him.
"Try to make it convincing!" I whispered into Daemon's ear and he returned my hug.
"Well why don't you stay over for the weekend? We are planning to go to the French Islands, you could come along too!" Emma smiled looking at Kelly who nodded agreeing to the idea.
"I'm pretty sure he has better things to do. " I cut in before they could suggest even more horrid things.
"Actually sure why not? Anything to do with my mate." He smiled hugging me even tighter. I have him a what-the-hell look.
"Game on babe." He whispered in my ear nearly melting me.
