Do you believe in fate? The fact that our story have been written and predetermined by a bigger being. The events that happen to every speck of dust to the most successful human being are determined. So if your life sucks, that is because it is already said to be.

That is what people blame their misfortune on. My life is miserable but it isn't my fault because Fate decided to mess it up!

I don't exactly believe in Fate. Because we all have free will and no one can possibly account for all of our possible choices and actions.

But then again, the many coincidences in our little lives do seem a bit weird, don't they? How you bump into the exact person that happens to be your soulmate? Or how you just seem to be in the right place and right time?

Maybe fate does exist. Then again, I might never know.

My days turned monotonous. Wake up. Go to school. Ace my lessons. Eat lots of ice cream.

The only fun I have is at night. Where I be myself for a few hours. Sneaking out is the only thing keeping me sane.

And that is what I was doing tonight. I hopped out of the window and climbed down my oak tree. I turned the ignition on my bike and got ready to go when I noticed the shadow leaning beside me.

"Lucas, you can stop hiding now," I say. The shadow moved towards me and I could see it isn't Lucas at all. It's Arc.

"You sneak out at night with Lucas?" Arc asks, a mischievous smirk. I crossed my arms over my chest.

"We weren't doing anything except for- " I almost slipped about the tattoos and clubs. I bit my bottom lip.

"For?" Arc prodded. I gave up. I'm so tired of hiding at school. Besides, Arc is a bad boy too, right?

I lifted my sleeve and showed him my phoenix. His jaw drops as he reaches out to touch it. It doesn't hurt anymore, so I just let him.

"Is that a..." He seems speechless. I chuckle darkly.

"Tattoo? Yes. Now get out of my way tough boy," I say, shoving him away from my bike. It roars to life. He sets a hand on my shoulder. I can feel the warmth through my jacket.

"I'm coming with you," he says, determined. I raise an eyebrow.

"Hmm, let me think about it. How about no?" I say sarcastically. He scoffs before taking out his own bike. I am proud to say that mine is bigger.

"I can just follow you," he says with a shrug. I huffed and rolled my eyes before relenting.

"Fine. But only if you can keep up," I say. He nodded. But just as he did, I sped off and down the road. I laughed as he shouts something. Probably along the lines of "You fucking cheater!"

I run a hand through my hair and savor the feeling of it flying behind me. I love it. It is the epitome of freedom, at least for me.

"That was rude, you know," Arc suddenly says from beside me. I shrieked a bit before seeing his smug grin.

"Fine, you're fast. I'll give ya' that," I reluctantly admit. He smiles before following me around a turn.

I decided to visit a new club opening in town tonight. It looked amazing and is said to have the best vodka. And that in itself is good enough for me.

We sped across the city like daredevils. I laughed as Arc tried to speed past me but fail every time he does.

We eventually arrived at the club, out of breath and full of adrenaline. The bouncer barely glanced at us as we handed over some money. He waved us in, though not without a quick sweep down my body.
