Grayson's POV

After a nice, hot shower, I get dressed and head down to the kitchen. I start to piece together a delicious breakfast for Thalia and Theo. As I make their omelettes, I begin to think. Thalia's been really tired lately, she seems to still not be adjusted back to her work schedule, although it's been a week. After finishing with the omelettes, I begin cooking some sausages.

Once I finish cooking and setting up the table, I serve orange juice and check the time. I smile and beam. Just enough time for Thalia to get ready and eat.

I rush upstairs and into our room and immediately feel her auras are off. Although she's asleep, she doesn't feel well. I gently shake her in an attempt to wake her.

"Lia, it's time for work." I gently say. She groans and is pulled out of slumber. Her auras only worsen, indicating she's sick.

"I feel terrible." She mumbles. I notice her skin is paler than usual and she's holding her stomach.

"Was it the pickles?" I grimace as I check her forehead for a fever. She nods before rushing to the restroom and throwing up. Yesterday, Lia really wanted pickles and ate some without realizing they were expired.

I rub her back and hold her hair as she continues to throw up.

"Oh god, I think you should stay home from work today." I cringe at the smell. She agrees and I call in for her.

"You know, I think you should come with me to my parents'. I'd feel better with you in the same house." I speak as she brushes her teeth. "My mom was always able to get us to feel better with some soup."

In reality, she had some herbs from the pack doctor. Luckily, they're safe for humans too.

"Okay, I'll go." She quietly says, not even attempting to argue.

Lia decides to go back to shower while I get Theo to eat. After bathing Theo and getting him dressed, we head to my parents' house. Once I got her tucked into bed in my old room, I got Theo to play in the living room while I spoke to my father in the kitchen.

"Thalia must be really sick," My dad sighs, "The only other time she's missed work was when you took her to Jamaica, your birthday, Theo's, and when Theodore got a really bad fever."

I blush, I never knew that Theo's ever had a fever.

"Yeah, she ate some expired food yesterday. I already asked mom to make her some soup with the stuff from the pack doctor." My father nods.

"That's good." he nods as he speaks. After a short silence, he speaks again. "Well, why'd you ask me to talk?"

"Well, I wanted your help." I bite my lip nervously. My father raises a suspicious eyebrow.

"With...?" he trails off, leaving room for me to continue.

"Well, you see, I got my general and strategic management degree and I wanted to know if you'd like to help start a company." My dad's eyes widen.

He doesn't speak for a minute and I can see the gears turning in his head.

"Well, I have some questions and some conditions." He finally speaks. I sigh with relief. That was easy.

"Yeah, of course."

"What will the company be?"

"Well, I'm already well acquainted with the Montego Bay Pack and several others so I could pull strings and we could start a shipping company that eventually expands and explores other subjects." I look at him hopefully.

"We'll have to further discuss that, but my other question is, who do you plan on hiring?"

"I haven't figured that out yet..."

"Well, you better figure it out. In the meantime, my conditions." He pauses.

I nod, "Yeah?"

"Take pack responsibility." I'm in shock. He's never asked me to do this for anything other than special events, especially after Theo came into the picture.

"How?" I ask, hoping it isn't too big. I need to manage my time between my family and building a company.

"You got the hang of shifting fast and you're a great fighter. Teach the young kappa and just fulfill your role as Delta." He nonchalantly shrugs.

I think it over for a few minutes and bite my lip. I guess I can also manage fulfilling my Delta responsibilities.

"Deal."

How will Thalia react?
