wow two in one day??? I'm on fire
here it is, enjoy
---------------------------------Link and Zelda stood in front of the new champions, just sort of taking it in. They all looked similar to the old ones in their own ways. Sidon had the sash like how Mipha would wear hers, pinned by a Zora Sapphire. Teba wore his like how Revali did, but he had it wrapped around his neck and not tied. Link was sure it was tied somehow, so it didn't fall off. Riju had hers on like a shawl, around her shoulders. Yunobo had it like a cape.
Link swallowed thickly, looking over at Zelda. She looked how he probably did. It hadn't properly hit her that the old champions, her old friends, were dead until now, seeing the new generation of them in the light blue of Links shirt. They were in the newly built castle and Zelda was in a dark blue dress, like the one she had 100 years ago, but she had a crown this time.
"Excuse me.." She said, running off somewhere. Link watched her run off, sighing quietly and looking back at them. He smiled shakily at them, ignoring their concerned looks. Even Teba, through his scowling expression, was expressing concern. It was plain on Yunobo and Sidons faces, and Riju was just frowning. Buliara had come with them, refusing to leave Riju by herself, even in the guarded Hyrule Castle. She was standing a little ways behind Riju.
"What's wrong with her?" Riju asked, making Link look over at her. He shrugged. Link couldn't be sure unless he talked to her.
"It's probably just hitting her all of her old friends are dead.." Link sat on a rock. He had gotten used to it, since he saw them frequently within the Divine Beasts. Link had helped them out a little bit, only because he'd fully explored and sort of figured out how to use the Divine Beasts. He certainly hadn't been able to figure out how Naboris made lightning.
"Are you realizing that too?" Link looked up at Teba when he asked, thinking about it for a moment.
"Not really, it was pretty obvious when I saw their spirits in the Divine Beasts." Link heard his voice crack halfway through that sentence, wincing a little and looking down. He heard someone walk over, sitting down beside him. Link knew it was Sidon, his footfalls weren't loud enough to be Yunobo and they weren't soft enough to be Teba or Riju.
"Zelda was.. closer to them, anyway. Daruk and Urbosa were like her parents and Mipha and Revali were like the siblings she never had." Link felt Sidons hand on his back, rubbing it.
"What about you?"
"Mipha was my friend but that was all, really.. I didn't know Urbosa or Daruk personally and Revali hated me." Link gasped when Sidon hugged him tightly, squeezing his eyes shut and wrapping his arms around his torso. He felt the other three join in, Riju first, Teba second and Yunobo third.
They stayed like that for a while.
---------------------------------
Zelda wiped at her eyes, slowly walking back out to the courtyard. She had a hard time controlling her emotions for a moment there. Zelda smiled at a guard, although it didn't reach her eyes. She stopped when she saw all of them in a pile, basically. It looked like Link and Sidon hugged first then everyone else joined in.
Ah, well, maybe he'd find a family in the new champions, like she had in the old ones.
