The New Girl

Part 23

Hayley's p.o.v:

I ran as fast as I could to my house not looking back. The drive home consisted of even more tears blinding my vision and making me smudge my mascara and I was lucky not to go off the road. My heart thumped loudly as I reached my door and unlocked it and slamming the door behind me. Wolfs! what the hell? I swear that there is no wolfs around this area and why was they almost playing?. I snapped myself out of it when I saw them tearing at the flesh of their prey, eating it in large chucks with blood dripping from their snouts dramatically making you think of them tearing a chunk out of you. I lent against the door fighting back more tears of fright and slid down to the floor pulling my legs up to my chest holding them wishing they was Alexander, he would know what to do at this moment. I can just imagine him picking me up in his arms and pulling me on the couch telling me to stay strong and not let it affect you. In fact that's great advice! maybe him comforting me wasn't such a bad thing after all! Tomorrow I will just pretend nothing happened and suck it up because its only wolf's right? It's hardly like they are going to stalk you! I can't believe I got so worked up about a few wolf's!.

I pulled myself up off the floor looking down at my drenched t-shirt from both sweat and tears it sticking to my body like it's life depended on it and I could tell that it was ruined from the mascara stained imprinted deep in the fabric. I walked wobbly up the stairs shaking and kicked my shoes of feeling drowsy and deciding to skip dinner. That's the great thing about living alone, nobody's here to cook for you so you can skip dinner and have it when ever. I reached my room at the end of the creme corridor and sighed as I swung my door open seeing all my furniture in place with a cool nights breeze rolling threw the open balcony doors to the left and my king size bed looking all the more welcoming as I got closer and closer. I trudged to the balcony and sighed taking in the forest surrounding my house. The air was cool and fresh tingling as I inhaled it deeply relaxing me before a shiver passed over my body. I glanced over the forest floor nervously seeking out the wolfs from earliers eyes glowing in the darkness waiting until I was in a deep surrender. I shook my head and laughed humorously at how crazy I must sound right now. I must be going insane!. I walked back in locking the balcony doors and retreating into the cozy room wondering what's happening to me.

Pulling my top off over my head my mind aimlessly wondered to Jack. Why was he being so nice when I am being mean to him? and why does he give a damn? why does anyone?. I slipped all my clothes off and restlessly got into bed falling instantly into darkness a grin happily placed on my lips. Tomorrow is going to be one heck of a day.
