The New Girl

Part 25

I ran around another bend sweat dripping from my band on my forehead. I let out a steady breath not fazed by the slow flow of sweat dripping down my chin as my eyes set their gaze on a mansion right in front of me. How could I miss that?. I curiously slowed my pace to a jog and slowly started to make my way around to the front hearing low snoring. Typical. I reached the front of the house seeing a large gravel drive way circling a large wolf statue. I rolled my eyes this must be a nature reserve or something. I wonder if anyones up?. Without my consent I found myself knocking on the large modern front door and standing there debating weather to stay or run away like a scaredy cat. Before I had a chance to answer the door swung open.

"Hayley....what are you doing here?" Will said looking me up and down only in a pair of tight black boxers. My eyes lingered on the boxers for longer than I wanted as a blush filled my face making me quickly look up to his sleepy and amused face. "Uhhh....I live around here" I mumbled trying to focus on his gorgeous eyes and not his half naked body tempting me. "Really! Where?" He said excitement flashing in his eyes like lightning. "Errrr a few miles that way" I said pointing to the left of his house blush stretching down my neck deepening a shade. "Omg....how'd you get here then?" He asked curiously looking me up and down with a smirk. "Ummmm I jogged...." I said twirling my ponytale with my fingers. "Omg....wow.....do you want to come in?" He said stepping aside from the door to let me in. I bit my lip thinking about it knowing I would and nodded before entering the mansion of a house.

"Want something to drink?" Will asked leading me in to the kitchen off the left of the coridoor. I nodded quietly taking in the black walls with splashes of neon colour and what looks like the paint what only shows in ultra violet. "I like the wall.....could you come mine sometime and help me decorate?" I asked cheerily stroking my hand against the wall. "Ummm sure " Will said after a big yawn getting out two coffee cups and starting to make some coffee. I nervously rubbed the back of my neck wondering who else lived here as snores still echoed lightly down to the kitchen making a nervous band of sweat form on my forehead and was I crazy or is there a picture of a beautiful blonde haired blue eyed girl stuck to the fridge with Will standing next to her....well more like she was snuggled into his side as he stod next to a cola machine casually. My heart thumped loader and faster beating up my rip cage with murderous hits as it tried to escape my chest. Damn he's taken. I wonder who she is? and why isn't he with her at school or with her right now.

I ripped out of my thoughts when a steaming cup of coffee was placed in front of me smelling fantastic. I touched the cup burning my fingertips making me smile at the familiar warmth what wasn't, for once, coming from me. I looked at Will frowning at me before something flashed in his eyes and he said "So gossip on the cheerleaders website said that you're joining them....it true?" looking like he was going to ask something else but held himself back. "Ummmm kinda....this cheerleader Charlotte had a go at me for the dodgeball thing in detention yesterday...if Jack didnt step in that cheerleader wouldn't be able to cheer again" I said in a rush at the end quieting down in slight embarassment at my outbursts. I should really need to get my anger problems sorted out since I am here I might as well. There was an awkwardly silent moment what seemed like it was never going to end until the image of the wolfs feeding popped into my head and I couldn't help but ask "Is there many wolf's around here?" as my palms started to sweat and not from the heat radiating from the coffee. "Errrr not really there has been odd spottings but nothing serious.....why?" he asked like he was keeping something from me but I let it go in a instant and blurted out "I saw some yesterday after detention near the bleachers back at school and was just curious of if it was likely to happen again because they really scared me". Omg have I lost my mind! I totally didn't just admit that I saw wolf's yesterday and at school! he's going to think I am totally bonkers!.

"Ohh..." Will said and was about to carry on before a sleepy lump of a boy dragged himself into the kitched covered in muscle what stretched as he moved over to the fridge before he stop dead in his tracks and twirled around and met my gaze.
