The New Girl

Part 2

Stil Hayley's p.o.v

Wind whipped around me making me wish I had my motorbike jacket on. I could hear Spencer getting closer so sped up faster and faster. I felt out of breath, but pressed on because I love competition and no one has betten me at running yet. I reached the wooden door leading to the sports hall and pushed it open with a loud bang and slid down the wall closest to me ignoring everyone staring at me. I laughed as Spencer practically fell into the door and landed on the floor next to me. "I win" I say with a huge grin. He looked up from the floor gobsmacked then recovered and sat down next to me saying "I'm impressed Miss Bailey".

"Ok everyone find a partner! then come over to me and line up side by side!" The sport teacher bellowed making my eyes snap open in surprise after my peacefull nap. Spencer laughed lightly at my reaction earning him a flick on the ear. "Wanna go with me?" He whispered in my ear making me giggle. I bit my lip and said "Yes, but how is this going to work with me being in a skirt and my bracelets will dig into you...". He laughed properly now drawing the attention of a group of nine boys. "It will be fine Haze" He said finnishing laughing. "Haze?" I asked amused. "Your new nickname Miss Bailey" He said on the verge of laughter again. I couldn't help but roll on the floor in a fit of laughter.

When I finally finnished laughing Spencer helped me up and we walked across the sports hall trying to recover from the stitch I got from laughing too much. "Today we are playing dodgeball you will go in groups of six so I want three pairs together!" The sport teacher said only in a slightly raised tone. Spencer grabbed my arm lightly and pulled me to a corner with four boys already sitting together. Spencer stopped and pulled me to his side saying "Guys this is Hayley Bailey she's new and I am warning you to be nice to her or else you know what happens". All the boys nodded and made room for me and Spencer to sit. I happily sat down next to a boy with dyed black hair and piercing green eyes. "Hi I'm Will" The boy said in a deep and husky voice making my heart beat quicken.

"Great we are up against the jocks first!" Will exclaimed. I sat quietly and just listened as Spencer said "Ok...Haze can you play dodgeball as good as you can run?". I think for a minute then said "I am better at dodgeball than running" with a sweet smile. Spencer's eyes widened slightly then said "We are going to whoop them!" and hugged me. I laughed and stood up saying "Let's play some ball!". Spencer smiled and lept next to me saying "Come on guys we have a secret weapon now". All the boys reluctantly got up and made their way to the area assigned to us. I happily skipped to the area seeing the jocks jaws drop then wolf whistle. Time to kick some jerky ass!.
