(TW: #DirkRoxy #ThirdWheel!Reader #RoxyxReader #Stevenuniverse #It'soverisntit? #Sad?)

I was fine

With the men

Who would come into her life now and again

(Y/n) smiled at her dear friend and crush, Roxy Lalonde. Roxy smiled back, "Hey I met this cool dude! I want you to meet him!"
"Alright, invite him over then!"

Roxy began texting this mystery man. "He'll be over soon!"

I was fine

Cause I knew

That they didn't really matter until you

Roxy was talking to Dirk, introducing (Y/n) and the Strider. "See I told you he's super cool!"

Roxy's pink eyes lit up with a strong emotion that slightly worried the (hair color)ed girl. "Y-yeah, super cool."

(Y/n) nervously smiled, the rivalry between Strider and (L/n began.

I was fine

when you came

and we fought like it was all some silly game

Roxy had left to grab snacks, "She's wonderful, ain't she?"

Dirk smiled, "Yeah but she likes me more so you best back off." I glared at the shade wearing boy.

"Pfft sure! No one can beat the Strider!"

Over her

Who'd she choose

After all those years I never thought I'd loose

(y/n) Watched from a park bench at a carnival, Dirk and Roxy kissing behind a building. A tear slid down her cheek, she was loosing her best friend to some boy with anime hair.

It's over isn't it?

Isn't it?

Isn't it over?

It's over, isn't it?

Isn't it?

Isn't it over?

(y/n) ate silently, Dirk and Roxy chatting happily.

You won

And she chose you

And she loved you

And she's gone.

(Y/n) stood in front of a gravestone, memories of the past flooding her brain.

It's over isn't it?

Why can't I move on?

(Y/n) was accompanied by Dirk, she crossed her arms.

 "I'm sorry."

War and Glory, Reinvention

Dirk held back tears.

Fusion, Freedom, Her Attention

(y/n) shook.

Out of daylight, My potential

"I'm so sorry." (y/n) closed her eyes, memories showing through closed lids

Bold, Precise, Experimental

"I'm sorry, Mr. Strider, Miss (L/n). She didn't make it." The doctor spoke, keeping his tone calm.

Who am I now in this world without her?!

(Y/n) fell to her knees, choked back sobs erupted from her throat.

Petty and Dull with the nerve to doubt her

The funeral was depressing, (y/n) staying silent. Emotionless.

What does it matter? It's already done!

Dirk tried comforting the female, her eyes glaring at the male. But softened when he let her hold his son, Dave. "I want you to help care for him. Roxy would have wanted that.

Now I've got to be there for her son

(Y/n) hushed the crying baby, rocking him back and forth. "I'll take care of you little one."

It's. . . Over, isn't it?

Isn't it?

Isn't it over?

It's over isn't it?

Isn't it?

Isn't it over?

(y/n) set down purple roses on the stone, carrying Dave back to the apartment. Dirk following silently.

You won

And she chose you

And she loved you

And she's gone!

It's over, isn't it?

Why can't I move on?

Dave fell asleep in the car, (Y/n stared blankly out the window and Dirk drove to their shared apartment. Having allowed (y/n) to stay to help with Dave.

It's over isn't it?

Why can't I move on. . .

On the gravestone it read; Rest In Peace Roxy Lalonde, May you live on in your son.
