Merstuck!Dirk x Reader

      Dirk frowned, staring at the humans. Their laughing and splashing reaching his ears, making him frown more. He hated them, their happiness. He wouldn't hate humans so much if his boyfriend didn't dump him. His human boyfriend, Jake English, dumped him for someone else. How could he?! After all these years of being together and talking about living together.  Humans are liars . Dirk promised to never trust a human ever again. But there was one human he could not avoid....

"Dirky!" 

The soft, bubbly voice of his friend Roxy came from behind him. He spun around glaring with his orange eyes. "Soooorry! Am I interrupting your pouting?" 

She giggled, rolling her bright Pink eyes. She then focused her gaze onto a (S/c) human wearing a (f/c) bathing suit. She leaned on her brother, smiling at the human. "Dirky, not all humans are bad you know! Janey is pretty fantastic, if you know what I mean." 

Roxy winked, earning a roll of Dirks eyes. "Talk to them! Dave talks to them all the time, mainly because he want sweet news about John since he's grounded and all." 
"Fine! If it gets you to be quiet." 

Roxy squealed, "Alrighty! Dave should be meeting her before sundown, I will go tell Dave you are joining in!" 

Dirk rolled his eyes and groaned, watching his pink tailed friend swim away. He sighed and went swimming after the female, looking for Dave.

Dirk didn't find Dave but did find Rose,  "Sorry Dirk, Dave's gone already. But i'm sure you can catch up to him with your speed and whatnot. You Striders are are the faster of our families." 

Dirk nodded his head, thanked Rose and left after Dave. It took half an hour before Dirk caught up with his brother.  "Goddamn Dave, slow your fins down. I thought Rox told you that i'm going to join you?" 

Dave looked at his brother, his red orbs rolled . "She did, I just wanted to have a head start." 

Dirk lifted his middle finger to Dave and kept swimming with the younger Strider. Once the two reached their destination they waiting for the human to appear. "Yo! Dave where you at?" 

"Over here!"

(Y/n)s (s/c) face appeared from around the corner, a smile brightening their features as she saw both Striders. They took off their clothing to reveal (f/c) swimsuit and dived into the cool, salty waters. They surfaced, smiling at Dave but soon focused on Dirk. "Hey, I've never met you before! The names (y/n) (l/n), I'm guessing you are Dave's bro?" 

The human spoke quickly, making Dirk focus a bit more. "Oh uh, Yeah. I'm Dave's brother. My name's Dirk, Dirk Strider."

He couldn't help but smile when (y/n) smiled, the three of them began talking about whatever was on their mind as well as splashing each other. It was a good day for Dirk, and he admitted that humans weren't so bad after all.
