A/N: This was requested by Sniper_t2. I hope you like it.

The sound of steel clashing against steel could be heard ringing across the arena. It was me and my dearest friend Hana against her fellow retainer Subaki and Hinata. It was my sword against Subaki's Pike and sadly I was at a disadvantage, I lost my footing for a second and the next thing I know I'm grunting in pain as Subaki's Pike collides with my stomach. Nothing that will obviously hinder me in the battle to come but it still hurt like hell. Looking up I brace myself for Subaki's finishing move but instead I see a blur of pink as Hana deflects his attack.

"You alright there, Y/N?" She asks not looking away from her enemy. She still extends her hand behind her to help me up. Not wasting any time I grasp her smaller hand in mine and get up.

"Yeah thanks, Hana. I owe you one." Grateful I replied sheepishly.

"Make it up to me by winning then." And just like that we continue the fight.

It's always been like this. I always had horrible luck in battles and would find myself in a lot of bad situations but always without fail Hana would swoop in and help. It made her protective of me in and out the battlefield since my luck seemed to follow me there too. It could be a simple task such as reorganizing the weapons and the next thing I know they break or cut me and Hana starts freaking out. I'm grateful for her help but sometimes I wish she would just calm down and let me deal with my messes. But it's the side of her that worries and shows how much she truly cares that made me realize how much I care for her too. That's right I, Y/N, have feelings for my best friend. I know it may never be requited and I learned to accept it, somethings just aren't meant to be. But I sometimes dream of a day that she returns my feelings and maybe just maybe start a life together, away from all this war and bloodshed.

After the battle in the arena we had to call it a draw since neither Hana nor Subaki seemed to want to give up. Hana kept pestering Subaki about his carelessness on almost wounding me, an ally and Subaki kept defending himself by saying it was simple training and there was no way I would have gotten harmed. Huffing in anger Hana turns to me and drags me away while murmuring death threats to mister perfect, who simply smiles politely and leaves to do an inventory check in the armory.

"The nerve of that man. Luckily we weren't using real weapons, or else I would have stabbed him! Ugh!" Hana kept saying while dragging me away by the arm.

"Hey um, Hana? Where are we going?" I ask in confusion. This is in the opposite direction to the mess hall where we usually head to after training.

"To my chambers, duh. I need to make sure you're fine, Y/N." Hana states as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Oh um alright then. But I'm telling you I'm fine."

"I won't believe you until I see it. Now shut it and follow me."

We pass by the rod shop and accessory shop and make it inside the castle where Corrin made everybody have rooms in. A little fancy for some of us like Mozu, the villager that was recruited a while ago or me, a common samurai that met Hana by chance but it's our home at the moment and that's all that matters. I wave at Hayato and Orochi who were conversing out in the halls but have no time to say anything before Hana drags me around the corner. We finally reach her room and upon opening the door she pushes me in and confidingly says.

"Strip."

"W-What?!" I feel my face heat up in embarrassment. Why is she telling me to strip?!

"N-Not like that you idiot! I need to make sure you're fine!" She says defensively obviously catching up to what I interpreted her words to mean.
