A/N:
This is long.

You were sat on your sofa where you'd been sinking comfortably into the crease for the past couple of hours, Tumblr open on your mac.
After thanking Dan and Phil for their hospitality you had headed for Mrs. Turner's flat (which lay on the ground floor of the building) and she'd fetched the spare key to your flat, letting you before going back to her own place, muttering something about making herself a cup of tea to remedy her hangover.
You sighed, content with life as you scrolled through Tumblr and Twitter.
Suddenly, the front door banged open.
"I'm back, binches", Eileen squalled, throwing down her seemingly endless array of bags. You leapt up from the couch, running to hug Eileen. "I didn't think you'd be back until teatime!"
"No, but I missed you too much. And I was bored". She laughed, hugging you back and kicking the door shut. "Did you miss me?" she asked, batting hair away from her face before letting go of you.
"You think?" you said with irony, pulling a face at her. "Who was I supposed to complain to about everything?" She was chuckling now. "And who was I supposed to scream with when I found out that Dan and Phil are our neighbours?!"
"Wait what?" Eileen had stopped laughing.
"Well, actually, I've known for a week or so, but you've been so busy with work and family—"
"And you didn't think to tell me that our husbands are our neighbours?!"
"Well, no, I guess not, but IkindasaidI'dtakethemouttodinnertonightandthatyouwerecomingwith..."
Eileen blinked at you. "Say that whole sentence again, gurl/boi/darl'".
You wrung your hands, then pulled Eileen to sit with you on the sofa. "It's kind of a long story, but..."
You proceeded to explain your encounter with Dan last Friday (well, most of it, anyway), and then your adventures of yesterday, from pacing the hall to her call that morning. When you finished, she fell back on the sofa, her expression blank.
Then she grinned. "Y/N, you got us dates!"
"Not like that, just fish and chips and then drag them to Tesco or something since they're out of food", you assured her, shaking your head.
"Yeah right. 'Just'", she mimed exaggerated quotation marks.
You were mid-sigh when the doorbell rang.
"What the blazes be that?" Eileen crowed in a pirate-y voice and you rolled your eyes at her.
"Coming!" you shouted and reluctantly left the sofa once more, padding to the front door.
Grasping the silver-painted brass of the handle you opened the front door to Dan pointing at the non-existent watch on his left wrist, looking quite puzzled.
"You said five thirty", he began, training his eyes upon you, "and I do believe that the hour is now thirty-one past five".
You made a face, then turned your attention to Phil who stood behind Dan, ignoring the latter for the most part.
"Hello Phil", you smiled brightly at him.
He beamed in return, raising his hand in a little wave.
