Elena POV:
"Whatever I'm busy later. I can't sorry. None of your business." Diego grumbles into his phone and enters the detention room. The teacher, as usual, is asleep but we still need to be present as the lady in the administration office makes sure that we arrive and leave on time.
"Hey," he says and pulls out the chair next to me. "What's going on in that head of yours you look so down?"
I glare at him blankly. The boy I loved for 2 years just broke my heart. Am I supposed to throw a party and start celebrating like nothing happened? I'm trying my best to avoid him at all costs. I haven't done much crying, I won't let anyone do that to me again. I'm more in a shock phase even though we have been a bit distant these past few months.
"Nothing I'm fine." I finally manage to lie. I take my copy book and start doodling around.
Instead of replying, Diego leans back into his chair and places his hands behind his head. Seriously? I continue drawing the infinity symbol, my symbol. It's symbolic and represents that even though life gets hard, keep going and don't stop trying. Even if I can't see the light in this situation right now I'd keep going, just like the symbol keeps looping, until I find it.
Diego leans in and as soon as he sees my drawing a wide genuine smile takes over his features. He furrows his eyebrows almost as if he's going to say something but he refrains and exhales.
"Princessa you're dealing with this cheating thing a lot better than I did I'll give you that. But it doesn't mean that you don't think about it any less, I know that for a fact." he pauses and looks at me. "How about tonight we go do something fun to take your mind off all this?"
"I'd love that." I smile at how sweet he has been lately and I've only known him for a little while. Though, some things about him really don't add up. Like the journal, Daniel is an only child and I know that for a fact. Why would he lie?
I furrow my eyebrows at him before placing my head against the wall. I don't know what to do. What if it's his journal, what if that pain in his eyes, that look of hurt is still there. He's not who he seems. There's more behind that heavy duty steel facade of a bad boy he tried to put on. He took care of me like he has known my my whole life in these past few days and I trust him. I'm at a new level of crazy.
"Princessa what's wrong, talk to me." He shifts his body to face me completely. His hazel-grey eyes glinting in the sun. His golden brown hair messy but still perfect. He reminds me of someone special I once knew. The same perfect eyes as Diego only his name was Lucas. I smile subconsciously as I recall that one night, that one night changed the entire course of my life, he did.
"I uh sorry Diego it's just you remind me of someone." I shake my head laughing a little embarrassed. I was totally staring right into his eyes like a freak would.
"Who?" He sits up straighter, "Who do I remind you of?" He urges.
"Nobody, you don't know him," I look at the floor glumly. "I guess I don't either."
He nods in understandment and leans back into his seat constantly fidgeting and wanting to say something but then keeping himself back. Why can't he just say it goddammit.

"Diego," I finally muster up the courage and grab him by the shoulders to turn him around. He seems a bit taken by surprise as to why I'd do that but I need to know. What's up with him? "Diego, tonight will you promise to be a 100% honest with me, please." I beg.
"Uh yeah why what's wrong, princessa?" He asks furrowing his eyebrows.
"Alright you -you're different Diego." I reply.
