Elena's POV
The faces all around me were blurry, everything passed in a whirlwind. I did that to him and I won't ever forgive myslef for it. I'm just hoping he will once he hears the reason.
I slap myslef back to reality and that earns me a few awkward stares. Running to my motorcycle I revv it up and speed off following the ambulance.
The ride felt like an eternity but I finally made it. Seeing Diego being carried out of the ambulance by paramedics was heartbreaking. The stretcher will forever haunt me.
I force my legs to move as the doctors and nurses scurry around him.
"Are you related to Diego Matthews?" A quirky blonde asks me and I nod.
"I'm his uh his friend." I smile and she nods adjusting her bra to make her assets stand out. "Darling if this is how you're gonna wake him up..."
"What I do is none of your business." She raises her nose and walks away.
I raise my eyebrows before turning to an elderly doctor who's just outside Diego's room. "Excuse me, is he alright? Will he be? Is he conscious?" I bombard the man with questions and he places a palm over my mouth to shut me up.
"Miss we're going to do some tests right now. You can see him in an hour." The man dismisses me and I go to the waiting rooms trembling. I can't lose him... I can't.
I dip my head in my hands as my tears become heavy and fall down on their own accord. I need him, I can't lose him!

Elena's POV
I've been pacing around the waiting room forever. I've pretty much agitated everyone in it and it's not like that's helping anyway.
"You can go see him now." The blonde nurse states with disgust rolling off her tongue. "Oh and no worries I changed him out of his old clothes." She snarls and my fists clench. Oh how I wanted to punch that bitch. As if it wasn't enough that she was practically begging the doctor to shoot me with tranquilizer darts ...from the zoo.
I took three long steps towards the door when I hesitated at the doorknob. I braced myself not to cry and keep it together. Grow a pair of lady balls Elena. I'm trying.
I gulp and enter the room to see Diego's head wrapped up in bandages. An involuntary gasp escapes my mouth and my hands drift to my face. Tears stream down my cheeks as I see him laying there all covered in bumps and bruises.
Taking a seat I take a look at the clipboard:
•Bla bla bla
•Sciency stuff I don't understand
•Fancy words that are over rated
•Bla bla
•More gibberish
•UnconsciousnessThe last word makes me aware of what's happening. He's unconscious.
"It's gonna be alright." I whisper as I lean my head on his chest listening to his faint heartbeat. "It's gonna be alright." I repeat and I realise I'm saying it more for myslef rather than him.
I lift my face up and hold his pale ish hand. A million emotions are going through me at this very moment. Sorrow, pain, remorse, regret, fear, worry... need I go on? They're not happy sentiments.
