Elena's POV
"Hey girls." I chirp at Mia and Kira who are slumped against their lockers.
"Why are you so happy?" Kira sighs and plants her face in her hands.
"No reason," Diego. I say. "Why are you so somber?"
"Late shift." Kira replies and I nod.
"I say we head to the office and get the papers." Mia says and pulls us both towards the office that isn't too far away.
"Goodmorming we would like to get the papers for the er traveling thing." I chuckle. Traveling thing, really?
"Of course just come here, show me your ID and tick off your names before taking the papers." An elderly woman acknowledges us and I nod gratefully.
Grabbing the paper I want to faint, pages and pages of tiny cramped words. Oh joy.
"Right we got them so let's go, thank you." Kira smiles at the lady and she waves us goodbye.
"Hey girls." Diego smiles at all of us and I roam my eyes all over his body. I mean I've seen him all morning but I can't get enough, he's a drug. My drug.
"Take a picture it'll last longer princessa," Diego winks at me and my cheeks flush. "Is the office open? Are these the papers?" He takes the papers out of my hand and looks mortified at the 10 page document. Not too much but come on who reads terms and conditions?
"Lot of words, your peanut brain can't process that much. I'm worried." I place a hand over my heart pretending to be genuinely concerned.
"At least I can make an omelette." Diego sticks his tongue out at me.
"Well I've got a Butler who's doing all that so I won't burn down a house. Call it stupid, I call it smart." I laugh at him and he shakes his head smiling and stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"Touché."

"Elena." Daniel hisses from behind me and I try to focus on my chemistry teacher. Diego doesn't take this class with me and I'm high key wishing he did. "Elena!"
I groan internally and take some more notes as a paper ball hits the side of my head. Being at the back of the class has its advantages, talking, not getting picked too often and passing notes. I stretch out the piece of paper before crumbling it up again.
'Are you free Saturday night after the game?' Yes I'm free, no I'm not going anywhere with you Daniel.
I shove the paper into the pocket of my shorts before getting hit with another one.
'Awh please love, I promise I'll make it worth your time ;)'
I plant my head in my hands and focus on the teacher. Daniel is starting to piss me off big time.
'Darling come on others are dying to be in your place right now and you know it. Quit playing hard to get.'
Hard to get? He's so wrong! I'm not playing hard to get more like stop talking to me or leave me the fuck alone. Not getting a message is a message!
I rip a piece of paper from my copy book and scribble down some words: I know and don't care, we're friends and that's all it will ever be. Quit insisting.
I close my copy book and open my textbook to a random page acting as if I'm paying attention before he throws another one.
'You know you want me ;)' In what effing world Daniel?! Only in a parallel universe.
