I had almost crashed the car two times before I decided to finally stop. And that's when I realize how badly I want to cry. I feel so stupid, how could I be such a fool? I hate the fact that I can't avoid the tears from falling. I can't believe Logan did that to me. I wonder how many times that had happened already, what only makes me cry even more.

I take a deep breath when my cellphone starts to ring, closing my eyes shut as if that could stop the tears.

"Hey" I say, biting my bottom lip so it doesn't shake so much.

"Sum, where are you?"

Though I just want to tell Ashton what happened, I know it's not the time so I restrain the sobs and try to talk in the best way I could.

"I'll be there in two minutes"

I hang up the phone and wipe the tears away. I still look horrible, but I don't even care about the way I look in front of Ashton. Just breathe and act normal for half an hour and then you can leave.

Ashton is the one that opens the door for me and I'm not sure if he knows there's something wrong just because of the way I looked or because he spends too much time with me and probably knows me better than anyone.

"Are you okay?" He frowns.

"Yeah, I'm fine"

I'm a pretty good liar, I don't know if you can call that a quality, but either way it's something that I'm quite proud of. But Ashton is my weak spot. I've never been able to lie to him, once in a while he would only pretend to be fooled but it was always obvious he knew it wasn't truth.

He raised his eyebrows "What happened?"

I sigh "Later, okay? There's no need to bother your mom with my dramas".

He nods slowly, I know he won't pressure me or anything.

"Summer, sweetie!" Mrs. Irwin enters the room with the widest smile ever and I force my best smile at her.

"Hi Mrs. Irwin, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine, what about you? I missed you two in this house" She laughs.

"I'm okay, I miss being here as well" I follow her to the kitchen.

"Thought you were coming earlier" Stacy says, handing me a plate with some cake.

"Yeah, there was some traffic on the way" I lie and I can feel Ash's gaze on me.

We kept talking with Mrs. Irwin for a long time, what was good 'cause I could keep my thoughts away from Logan. As always, she was the sweetest person ever, it felt weird being in that house again though. Ashton's father never showed up and we ended up leaving before Ash himself could go down the basement to say hi.

"I'll see him the next time I come over, okay? It's late already" He says, hugging his mother one last time.

She nods slowly, and I can see the happiness she was feeling earlier fade away as she closes the door.

"Can you drive me home?" I ask Ashton "I'm not feeling very well"

"Yeah, sure. We can get your car here tomorrow"

I don't say anything for a couple of minutes after getting in the car, and neither does Ashton, he'd wait for me to tell him what is going on when I'm ready.

"You were right" I say at some point, resting my head against the sit and closing my eyes "Logan is a total asshole"

"No shit. What made you realize that?"
