"Ash" I say lowly and he turns around in bed, mumbling something "I'm going out okay? I'm going over to Hannah's"

He doesn't answer and I don't bother telling him again, he would probably figure out where I am when he wakes up.

Hannah's place is not far from mine, actually the three of us live really close to each other. I wonder why I hadn’t seen her so much in these last few days.

She opens the door in a hurry, but I see her disappointed face when she realizes it’s me, but she tries to disguise it.

“Sum! Hey, how you’re doing?” She asks as we got in the apartment and sat on the couch.

It’s a small apartment, and it’s probably the cleanest of all of us. There’s not much in it, though. Hannah was always very… neuter. She doesn’t do much besides going to clubs so she could find boys to hang out with, she can be the kinda quiet girl, that just likes to sit on her own and thing about nothing in particular for hours.

“I’m fine, and you?”

“I’m great! I heard you and Logan broke up, sorry about that”

“Yeah, well he cheated on me…”

Hannah widened her eyes “Oh my gosh, Sum that’s horrible!”

“He was an idiot, I’m glad we’re not together anymore” I laugh humorless.

“You don’t seem very happy” She said, concerned.

“I am, I promise. Still a little upset, but I’m not even thinking about it so much… I have to tell you something actually”

She narrowed her eyes “What?”

I feel my cheeks heat and I know I’m blushing. What a silly thing “Yesterday Logan went to my place cause he wanted to talk to me about us and stuff, but I was with Ashton. They ended up arguing, and when Logan left Ashton got all weird, saying he wanted to go out and drink, and we did. But he drank a little too much and well… He kissed me” Hannah practically stops breathing because she was so surprised and I let out a nervous laugh “I kissed him back, that’s what’s even weirder, I mean it’s Ash”.

“Yeah, wow that’s… Wait, did you sleep together?” She asks, probably still trying to understand things.

“No, no. We just kissed, but either way, it was really good actually”

She laughs lowly and nods “Okay, but now what? Do you think something can happen for real between you two?”

I bite my bottom slip slightly, I haven’t quite thought about it “I don’t know, maybe. I guess I’m just going to let things happen naturally. And I just got out of a relationship, I’m not gonna make a big deal of that, you know?”

“Sure. But like, don’t you think maybe he just kissed you because he was drunk?”

“No, he told me later that he wanted to kiss me for a long time”

“Oh... Well, I don’t see you for a couple of days and look what happens, you just got yourself a new boyfriend” She blurts out a laugh.

“Shut up Hannah” I smile at her “What have you been doing anyway?”

“Not much, just trying to find a job so I can eat”

“Any luck?”

“Of course not, I don’t think I’m showing enough all of my excitement to start working, you know?” She mocks.

Hannah is not the kinda girl that earns her own money, not that she’s spoiled or anything, but her parents are quite wealthy and they always send her some cash. The fact is that they’re the ones who are gonna pay her college and the ones who pay her rent, she just has to get some money to pay the smaller bills, like light and food. That’s the least she can do if she wants to become independent soon, right?
