Four Months Later
. . . .
Summer was gone and its now winter, the beginning of November. Months had past and Zonnique was on life support, fighting to live. She hadn't waken up yet but that was going to change today. The baby was ready to be born. Inside the room with Zonnique was Bahja, Ray, and Ariana. Chris finally had the courage to go get the help he needed. He was now in the infirmary preparing for his treament; that could go any way. It may help him or it may not. At this point all they can do is continue to pray. Two minutes later, Ariana grabbed a hold of her hand. She felt Zonnique's hand wrap around hers. She moved for the first time in over four months. She was finally waking up.
"Oh my god..." She gasped.
"What?" Bahja asked groggy looking over at her.
"My mommy moved! She's alive!"
"What!" They both shouted causing the nurse to run inside.
She looked at Zonnique then dropped her mouth. "It's a miracle!"
The nurse rushed over by Zonnique's side, feeling her pulses and checking her heart rate again. She was breathing at a regular pace. Everyone became overjoyed and excited about the miracle. The nurse placed the breathing machine over her mouth and watched. Zonnique's eyes slowly opened and she coughed.
"Ms.Pullins you're finally awake!" The nurse cheered writing down on her clipboard.
"What?" her cracking voice asked utterly confused.
"You were in a coma for approximately four months and fourteen days. You overdosed on medication which resulted into you coming here"
"Oh" she remained confounded.
"Mommy I missed you!" Ariana exclaimed.
"Uh who are you?" Zonnique asked seriously.
"That's your daughter! Stop playing" Bahja laughed nervously.
"I don't have kids except for this one in my belly" she stated.
The nurse sighed. "Uh oh..".
"What?" Ray asked.
"We need to run some test on her. She may have Amnesia..."
After hours of test, Zonnique was diagnosed with temporary amnesia. She only remembered Bahja and her unborn child; no one else. The doctors are unsure how long it will last. Ariana was upset about her mother not remembering her but she's just happy she's awake. Zonnique sat up letting out a loud screech. She screamed holding onto to her stomach. It was officially time to have the baby. The nurses called in the doctor who escorted Zonnique to another room.
. . . .
On November tenth, Zonnique gave birth to two five pound babies; boy and girl gender. They were premature because lack of food for growth. She named the boy Jordan Maurice and the girl Joella Mayan. The last wasn't classified yet because she didn't remember Christopher at all. Bahja and the other tried convincing her that the children were his, but Zonnique didn't believe them. After a ten hour labor process she was exhausted and she wanted to sleep. She fell asleep immediately, while the twins were in the incubators sleeping as well.
Meanwhile Christopher had just gotten out of surgery the next morning. The treatment went well but he'd be on bed rest for a week. His body was weak so he just laid there in pain. The cancer was officially gone and he'd never have to worry about it coming back. But the news he'd going to here about Zonnique, may crush him. His doctor walked inside and noticed Chris was now awake.
