Chapter 4

Jinyoung's POV

After class, I looked for Daehwi. I saw him walking alone along the hallway. I was about to approach him but then Guanlin appear. He started walking near him and whispered something. I can see that Daehwi doesn't like what was happening. It made me really mad. I was thinking of an idea on how to make Guanlin stop. Jihoon suddenly came up to my mind.

"Hey Guanlin! Jihoon's looking for you!" I shouted

Guanlin suddenly rushed to me and asked where Jihoon is.

"He's at the cafeteria. He told me that he wants to eat. But he is there alone right now."

"Okay! Thanks dude! Can't let my baby eat alone, right?"

"Uhh yeah!"

After Guanline left, I went to where Daehwi was

"A-are you okay?" I asked him

"Y-yeah! I was just a bit scared a while ago. T-thank you once again!" I like it everytime he thank me. I feel like I fulfilled my mission on making him safe and sound.

"Uhmm. Are you about to go home?" what the heck was that Jinyoung!? Obviously he is.

"Yes. How about you?" he answered

"Yeah! I'm about to go to the parking until I heard someone shouted." I want to ask him if he wanted to come with me but I don't know how.

"I-I could take you there. Uhmmm.. In exchange of what you did to me the whole day" these words made me smile. I don't know why but I have this weird feeling when he is around.

"Sure! How about you? How will you go home?" Oh no! Another stupid question Jinyoung!!!

"Uhmmm... I'm not on the rich side" he laughed. I don't know if I should laugh too. He might get offended

"I'll just walk from here to our apartment." He added

I was silent. I want to invite him for a ride but I'm too shy to tell him. I don't know what to say when we are alone together.

"Thanks again for all the help today. I'm sorry if you have to walk with someone like me." Oo God! He misunderstood me

"W-waait! Daehwi! It's not like that!"

I shouted but he didn't here anything. He ran too far for him to hear what I said.

I followed him until I saw him entering Jihoon's mom's café. Maybe he works here. I'm not really a fan of any bubble tea but this is the only way for me to see him. I don't have any choice. Why am I being too obssessed with a guy?

I entered the bubble tea house and saw Daehwi with a surprised face. I greeted him and Mrs. Park. It's bee a while since I saw Mrs. Park. The three of us shared stories and laughed about some happenings.

After ordering, I decided to sit in front of the counter so I could watch over Daehwi. He seems too precious for me.

Mrs. Park told me that Daehwi will do a night shift today. I decided to wait for him so that I could accompany him home.

It's already 10PM. I was just in my phone playing games and other stuffs when Daehwi approached me.

"Uhmmm. Sir?" Hahahaha cute

"You being too formal is a bit weird." We laughed after I said that.

"I'm just not used to being informal at work. Sorry." He answered back

"By the way, I'm about to close the shop. Do you still have something you need?" he added

"Oh! Nothing! Where do you live? Want a ride going home?" I really wanted to give him a ride in the first place

"No! It's okay! I prefer walking. Hahaha"

"I'll walk with you then."He looked shocked hearing that.

"You don't really need to do that." He said

"It's okay! I insist."

"Okay sure! Wait for me then. I'll close the shop."

It took him about 10 minutes to check everything on the shop before closing it.

It was a bit cold tonight. I forgot to bring any gloves. We were walking on our way to his apartment. I kept on blowing on my hands for warmth and he notice that.

"Here." He offered his hand

"Huh?" I was a bit confused

"Hold my hand. For warmth. My mom always do this for me when she was still alive." I reached for his hand

Were like a couple holding hands on a park. I felt kind of awkward but I really like this feeling.

"Uhmmm. It looks like it's really cold for you. Wanna ride you car?" he said

"Yeah! I think that's a good idea." I told him

We were walking back to the bubble tea house to go back to where my car is parked. After entring the car, I held his hand again

"It's still cold." I told him

He blushed and looked outside the mirror.

"Please be with us at school. I want you to be on my side always. Is it okay for you?" I told him

"Really!? Yes! I would love that. I haven't had a single friend since I was young. Who would dare to be friends with a poor nerd. Hahaha"

"Hey! Don't say that! You are special! If not for them, then for me. You are special for me."

"I don't understand. We just met and you are this nice to me" he said

"There's nothing wrong with liking, I mean being nice to someone, right?" What the heck was I talking about

"Well, yeah! I really want to thank you! You are the best thing that has happened to me in the university" he said and it made me blush

We arrived at his apartment. It was inside Jihoon's mansion. Their apartment was located at the back of the main house.

We got out of my car. I went near him and held his hands once again.

"Cold. Hehe" I said

"Drive safely, okay? Thank you for everything." He said then hugged me

I hugged him back and it lasted for almost a minute. I wasn;t aware that I didn't want to lose his hug.

"Give me your phone" I told him

I added my number in his contacts.

"Make sure to text me tomorrow."

"Okay" he said

"Bye! Have a good sleep!" I told him

"Bye! Have a good one too!" he waved goodbye and I left to go home.
