(JinHwi | PanWink) Started with a Dare

Chapter 13

Daehwi's POV

We were at Seonho's place and he's starting to help me with his dare for me. His been setting Jinyoung in trap question for quite a while. Seonho was telling a story about how the people in our town calls me and he kept calling me baby.

"Y-yah! He's not your baby!" Jinyoung shouted.

I was a bit shocked with what I heard

"Yes he is! I still like him! He's mine! He's my baby!" Seonho answered him

"Yah! He's not yours! He's not your baby! And you're not allowed to like him!" Jinyoung attacked back

They didn't top arguing about this simple "problem". It looks cute tho. Jinyoung is being way too overprotective. I'm already having my hopes up.

"He can't be yours!!!" Jinyoung shouted again

"Why!? Is he yours? Are you two in a realationship?" Seonho suddenly asked

"Y-yah!!! It's not like that. It's just that I treat him like my brother. Y-yeah! That's why! That's why I don't w-want you calling him that." Jinyoung said

I suddenly felt something crushing my heart. It hurts a lot. I've been expecting something that is not real. I already have a feeling that he felt this way but I still chose to think the other way.

Everyone suddenly turned silent. I didn't realize that a tear fell from my eye. Jinyoung was shocked with what he saw.

"W-why?" he asked

"Nothing. A dust just went into my eye." I told him

"D-did I say anything wrong?" he asked me again

"Ww-What? No! You didn't!" I told him. Yes! Yes you did something wrong. You crushed my heart. It hurts a lot jinyoung! It hurts!

He wiped my tear. I moved away quickly and sat next to Seonho.

"S-seonho. I'll go wash the dishes you can go to the living room with Jinyoung for a while." I offered Seonho help

"Okay Dae! You sure you want to do it? You can just leave it there and I'll do it later." He said

"I'm pretty sure." I told him

"Please..." I whispered to him

"Okay! If you say so."

I started washing the plates. Everyone was still silent. I can feel Jinyoung staring at me. I don't know how to face Jinyoung after what he said. It doesn't have to be awkward but I can't help to being awkward around him.

After washing the dishes we stayed and watched a movie for a while. I sat beside Seonho who is seated between me and Jinyoung. Seonho wrapped his arm around my shoulder to comfort me. Jinyoung was still staring at me. Everytime I will look at him he would give me a faint smile and then I'll give him a fake smile.

After watching a movie. We decided to go home.

"Uhmmm. Jinyoung?" I called his attention

"Yes? What is it?" he asked me

"My foot is okay now. You don't need to give me a ride every morning, to take care of me and to stay at my apartment. I'm being a burden to you." I told him

"B-but I thought you wanted to be with me too?" he asked me

"Y-yeah! But you don't need to do all of these for me. It makes me misunderstand everything."

"W-what do you mean misunderstand?" he asked. Looking confused

"Everything that is happening is new to me. I sometimes assume of things that are not true and expect something from other's action. I tend to mislead gestures from people and assume different kind of things." I told him

"I'm a bit confused Daehwi. What are you talking about?" he asked me

"Just promise me that you'll lessen your time being with me, lessen your time in giving me all your attention and to not give me false hopes." I told him almost teary-eyed.

We were almost home. Jinyoung stopped the car since he cannot focus on driving.

"What do you mean false hopes? Did I do something wrong?" he asked

"Stop showing to much affection for me. It gives me the wrong idea. I thought you liked me. I was assuming this which led me to be falling for you. I got the whole thing wrong. I'm sorry. I know I might disgust you, but I promise to remove all what I'm feeling for you. Just give me space and don't stay around me for a while." I can feel tears flowing down my face. I felt like it is a break up scene a a movie.

"Don't worry. I will let you stay with me tonight since it's too late for you to drive alone going home. Please promise me that you'll give me space, okay? At the moment, I don't want us to just be friends. But with just a little time, we can be friends again. Promise me okay?" I added

"B-but Daehwi. You got it wrong too. I was.." he said and I interupted him

"Please Jinyoung. Please promise me. Please do it for me. For the sake of our friendship" I told him

He was silent. I can see tears flowing from his face.

He continued driving. After arriving home, I got off the car first and went inside my apartment. I went straight to bed and covered my face with my blanket. I kept on crying. Jinyoung was seated on a chair beside my bed. He was staring at me. I felt uncomfortable with what he is doing. I decided to stop crying and pretended to be asleep for him to go to sleep too. I was just wishing that he would go to bed with me, even for the very lasty time. I want to feel his hug, his breath near mine and I want to feel his hands playing with my hair as I fall asleep.

It took a while before I felt him joining me in bed. I kept pretening that I was asleep.

"I'm very sorry Daehwi. I'm sorry for hurting you. I know I did something wrong. I'm really really sorry. I still want to be with you, but if this is what you want, I'll do it for you. I'll do anything for you. That was my promise to you. I wouldn't break it. I just want to hug you. I know you are asleep but If ver you woke up with me, hugging you, please don't be mad. I want to be attached to you but I think it's impossible now. And it's all my fault. I'm really sorry Daehwi. I will still love you no matter what. I'll always be here when you'll need me. Please tell me when you're in trouble. Please let me be the one to know if you are having some problem. I will surely miss you Daehwi." He whispered. 

After saying those words, I felt an arm wrapping around my waist. I know that it's not good for me but I don't want him to remove those arms around me. I want to stay like this for a long. I don't want this moment to end. I know that a lot of things will change stating tomorrow and I should get myself ready for that. I still feel tears flowing down my face. I can't help but cry. It's really breaking my heart.
