Chapter 35

Jinyoung's POV

"Hey baby! Wake up!" my most favorite voice whispered to my ear

I stretched then faced him.

"Good morning baby! What time is it?" I asked him with a smile

"Uhmm.. it's 5:30am. I need to leave now. I wrote something for you make sure you read it after waking up again later, okay?" I was dumbfounded. He said too many things at a time.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I'm leaving now. I need to go somewhere. Your mom already found someone who can drive me home." He told me

"Can't you stay for a bit longer?" I pouted. I wanted to spend more time with Daehwi.

"No I can't. I'm sorry baby." Why can't youuu?

"Fine! Text me when you arrived home, okay?" I agreed on defeat and just gave him a smile. I think something was off.

"I love you. You know that, right?" What's happening. Why is he like this?

"Of course! I love you too"

He leaned in and kissed me and I kissed back. This kiss feels different. I can taste sadness from his kiss.

A tear feel from Daehwi's eye

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"N-nothing! I'll go now. Take plenty of rest, okay? Don't forget your meals! You're too skinny already"

I can't move a muscle. I know something was off but I don't really know what to do.

He opened the door and waved goodbye. I came to my senses as soon as the door shut close.

I search for the letter he was talking about, opened it and started reading it.

"Hi baby! I'm going to tell you a story.

One day, there was this lonely kid wandering around the school grounds, not knowing where he should go. Suddenly this handsome young man helped him in finding his room..." a smile appeared in my face but I still feel uneasy.

"...It turned out that they are on the same room too. The kid became happy knowing that there was someine he could ask for help if he needed something. Honestly, he was the kid's first ever friend after a looooong year. He was really thankful for everything. He was always there for the kid no matter what." I didn't expect a tear falling from my eye after reading this line.

"...At first it felt strange but suddenly, it feels normal. They don't care if somebody sees them being clingy with each other. It felt natural for them. Until one day, they admitted their love for each other." Tears kept falling but I really don't know the reason. I could sense something was really off.

"...It was the best feeling for that kid. Considering he doesn't have a family, he's poor and an introvert. The boy was a blessing to him. They were together through ups and downs. Suddenly, the boy's parent knew about what is happening and doesn't approve of it. This caused the lonely kid to leave him even though he loves him so much. I'm so sorry Jinyoung. I have to leave you now." I can't move. It felt like every muscle and bones in my body are glued together. I was dumbfounded and was just staring at the piece of paper in my hand.

Suddenly, I heard a car engine. Daehwi must still be here.

I ran as fast as I could. I could still see Daehwi riding the car from the window downstairs. Tears kept falling as I rushed. I kept unning and running.

"Daehwi!!!!" I was still running. Tears are just flowing freely from my eyes

"Lee Daehwi!!!!" I kept on shouting but the car didn't stop. Even a bit.

I lost track of the car but I still continued running.

My legs became weak. I couldn't feel them anymore. I just kept on sobbing until a car stopped in front of me.

"Get inside" my mom said

"How could you do this to your own son!?" I shouted

"How dare you talk like that to me!? I'm your mom!"

"I don't care! You're the worst! I hate you so much!" I kept on shouting

"I don't care. He aggreed on this. I didn't force him. Just get inside the care or else your father wll know everything. You sure know that it will be worst if your father will do something about this."

She was right. If my father knew about this, he might've ended Daehwi's life. I just stood up, went inside the car. And sat at the seat farthest from my mom. Don't worry Daehwi, my baby. I will find you no matter what. Please wait for me.

I went straight to my room and looked for the letter that he left.

"..Please live your normal life just like before you met me. I may be leaving you, but you're always in my heart. This is for our own good. Your stable life, my scholarship, my aunt's job is at risk if I will continue this. I know it's hard for you to forgive me, but I couldn't think of any other way. I'm powerless, I'm poor, I'm just a nobody. I hope that we will meet again someday. I'll try my best to visit you, but I couldn't promise that I can do that. Please don't forget about our happy memories but if you want to, it's up to you. I don't really know where your mom will send me but I'll make sure to take good care of myself. I will surely be alone for some time, but don't worry, I'm kinda used to this. Always remember that I love you so much Bae Jinyoung. I promise that you're the first and last person that I will love."

I need to find him a soon as possible. I don't trust my mom. I know that he won't live a good life. My baby would need me soon. Where could you be, Lee Daehwi.
