Chapter 34

I woke up at 5am in the morning. I can't put my self to sleep. I kept on waking up every 10 to 30 minutes. I sat at the edge of the bed and faced Jinyoung. I don't think I can manage leaving him like this. I know that his life would be misserable after realizing that I left him. I know that he'll get mad at me. I know that he will be disappointed, but that's the only way for him to still have a stable life. I don't want his family kicking him out of their life. This is what's best for Jinyoung. I am sure of that.

I decided to sit down on his study table and at least write him a letter.

"Hi baby! I'm going to tell you a story.

One day, there was this lonely kid wandering around the school grounds, not knowing where he should go. Suddenly this handsome young man helped him in finding his room. It turned out that they are on the same room too. The kid became happy knowing that there was someine he could ask for help if he needed something. Honestly, he was the kid's first ever friend after a looooong year. He was really thankful for everything. He was always there for the kid no matter what. At first it felt strange but suddenly, it feels normal. They don't care if somebody sees them being clingy with each other. It felt natural for them. Until one day, they admitted their love for each other. It was the best feeling for that kid. Considering he doesn't have a family, he's poor and an introvert. The boy was a blessing to him. They were together through ups and downs. Suddenly, the boy's parent knew about what is happening and doesn't approve of it. This caused the lonely kid to leave him even though he loves him so much. I'm so sorry Jinyoung. I have to leave you now. Please live your normal life just like before you met me. I may be leaving you, but you're always in my heart. This is for our own good. Your stable life, my scholarship, my aunt's job is at risk if I will continue this. I know it's hard for you to forgive me, but I couldn't think of any other way. I'm powerless, I'm poor, I'm just a nobody. I hope that we will meet again someday. I'll try my best to visit you, but I couldn't promise that I can do that. Please don't forget about our happy memories but if you want to, it's up to you. I don't really know where your mom will send me but I'll make sure to take good care of myself. I will surely be alone for some time, but don't worry, I'm kinda used to this. Always remember that I love you so much Bae Jinyoung. I promise that you're the first and last person that I will love."

Tears are running down my face as I was writing the letter. Teardrops are even visible in some parts of the paper but there's no other way on how I can say this to Jinyoung.
I decided to leave early. I woke Jinyoung up

"Hey baby! Wake up!" I whispered to his ear

He stretched and faced me, opening an eye.

"Good morning baby! What time is it?"

"Uhmm.. it's 5:30am. I need to leave now. I wrote something for you make sure you read it after waking up again later, okay?"

"What do you mean?" he asked

"I'm leaving now. I need to go somewhere. Your mom already found someone who can drive me home."

"Can't you stay for a bit longer?" he pouted

"No I can't. I'm sorry baby."

"Fine! Text me when you arrived home, okay?"

I gave him a smile

"I love you. You know that, right?"

"Of course! I love you too"

I leaned in and kissed Jinyoung. He kissed back.

A tear feel from my eye.

"What's wrong?" he asked

"N-nothing! I'll go now. Take plenty of rest, okay? Don't forget your meals! You're too skinny already"

I know that he's feeling kinda suspicious of what I'm acting. I went straight to the door and waved goodbye to him. He was just sitting there, dumbfounded.

I saw his mom waiting in the living room. I bowed to her, telling her that I'll be leaving

"Please take care of Jinyoung, ma'am" I told her while wiping my tears away

She just nodded and kept a stern face.

I went outside and went inside the car. Tears kept falling. The car started to move. I was looking at his room window then suddenly I saw him running outside. I want to go out but I can't. I saw him running with the paper that I wrote in his hands. Tears kept falling more and more.

"Madame Bae told me to send you straight to the airport." The driver said

"B-but, how about my things?" I asked him

"We'll be sending it to you later as well, she told me to check you in as soon as possible. A private plane will send you to your destination"

"O-okay! Thank you sir" I told him

"Thank you too" he said

"f-for what, sir?"

"For making Jinyoung happy. The last time I saw his smile was when he was still a kid. After they had a family problem, he never smiled again. I knew someone is making I'm happy the first time I saw his smile again. I really want to thank you for that."

"A-are you close with Jinyoung?"

"I've beening working for this family every since Jinyoung was born. I was the one who sends and fetches him in school when he was young. I'm also the one attending every events that are happening in his school."

"As you know, I'll be leaving. I won't be able to see him again. Can I have a favor?"

"Of course young man."

"Please take care of him. He loves going to the mall and watching movies. Please take him there sometimes. He also tends to forget eating his meals. He loves eating any food meat."

"I will do that. I promise"

"Can I also have your contact details? Please send me some updates regarding him. Can I?"

"Sure. Write your contact nimber on a paper. I'll send you a message later."

"Thank you so much Mr.?"

"Lee."

"Oh! Mine's Lee too. Nice to meet you Sir Lee. I'm Daehwi. Lee Daehwi"

"Were almost here. I'll also be the one who will bring you your things. I'll see you tomorrow in Jeju."

"T-thank you sir."

It still feels surreal. Living on my own in a place that is unknow for me. I really hope Mr. Lee would do what he told me. I already miss you Bae Jinyoung. I love you so much.
