Nathan: Puking it up!

I ran back inside the bus, stumbling up the stairs.

"Brody! Brody!" I shouted.

Inside our tour bus was chaos, Brody and his fiancé Amber, were trying to calm everyone down. Seth was freaking out because he had just hit a girl, when he wasn't even supposed to be driving. Keah, Seth's girlfriend was confused, and trying to figure out what had just happened.

"Brody!" I yelled. "You gotta go get her!"

"Why can't you?" He asked, as he headed towards the door.

"I can't touch her, she's way too beautiful." I said.

Keah turned and stared at me, as if in utter shock. Amber smiled, like she knew what I was feeling. Like anyone could know what I was feeling. I've never felt this way before; I've never been left completely speechless by a girl. But she was so pretty. What's going on? Pull yourself together, your Nathan Parker for goodness sake. You can't let a girl shake you like this. Oh... I think I'm gonna be sick. I ran to the bathroom, I felt like I was puking my guts out. A few minutes later, I came out of the bathroom, and she was sitting there, with everyone surrounding her. I stayed back, away from the group.

This girl obviously did something to me, its best if I keep as far away as possible. I thought.

She looked so scared and confused. Wow, she's beautiful.

The girl had dark brown hair that came to the middle of her stomach; it was straight and shiny, with swooped bangs. Her eyes were bright blue, like the color of the ocean in Hawaii, and she had long, thick eyelashes. Her lips were more red than most peoples, but it was gorgeous, like she had just bitten into a cherry, and it had stained her lips. She was tall too; she looked almost 5'10". She was by far the prettiest girl I had ever seen.

"Nathan." Brody said, calling my name.

"Yeah?" I replied, as quiet as possible.

"Come here." He said, as if what he wanted was obvious.

I slowly inched my way over to the couch she was sitting on. Even as I was getting closer to her, I could feel my heart beating faster, and I was sweating buckets.

"This is Nathan." Brody said to the girl. "Nathan, this is Whitney."

"Hi." I said, in almost a whisper.

"You're a lot shier than I thought you would be." Whitney said to me. I just shrugged.

I stepped back a few feet and just watched her. Everyone was trying to make sure she was ok, and Seth would apologize three times every minute. She looked overwhelmed, and I'm not sure why, but after a while she fainted. Her cell phone started ringing in her pocket.

"We might wanna answer it, it could be her parents." Amber said.

"Yeah, but it's in her pocket." Brody said.

"Well...we'll just have to have someone get it." Amber replied.

Everyone turned to look at Keah.

"What?" she asked, innocently.

"Would you, please?" Brody asked.

"Oh, I guess." Keah said, reaching into Whitney's pocket, and pulled out the phone.

I don't think I've ever seen Seth be this quite. He must really be beating himself up about this.

"It's just a text message from some guy named Jacob." Keah announced.

Probably her boyfriend, Am I jealous? I never get jealous. What's wrong with me?

"It says 'Where are you?'" Keah read out loud.

"Call the kid." Brody said, "Maybe he was with her."

Seth grabbed the phone from Keah, and pressed talk... the other line picked up.

"Hello? Hello?" Seth said into the phone. Then turning to us said, "I don't hear anything, you guys."

The person hung up.

Not even twenty seconds later her phone went off again.

"It's a text from Jacob." Seth explained.

"I know this isn't Whitney, who is it?" He read.

Seth moved his thumbs quickly across the phone, reading what he wrote, as he wrote it.

"I'm Seth Parker." Seth hit send.

"Ok if this is really Seth Parker, why do you have Whitney's phone?"

"I accidently hit her with our tour bus."

"Seriously, where is she?"

"She fainted, but she's sitting right in front of me. Are you at the Wal-Mart?"

"Yes, I am."

Seth closed the phone and set it down. He walked out of the bus, and returned a few seconds later with a boy that had blond, shaggy hair. He was about 6'1" and he had green eyes, and long eyelashes.

I don't like him.

"Everyone, this is Jacob." Seth announced.

"Jacob, this is Amber, Keah, Brody, and Nathan." Seth said, gesturing to each of us, as he said our names.

Jacob just waved, and then walked over to Whitney. He looked around the room.

"You don't have to be so quite, dude. We're not gonna bite." Seth joked.

Jacob stared at him.

Well...Not very friendly. Geez.

Jacob dug around in his backpack and pulled out a pen and paper.

Is this guy crazy? What's he doing?

Jacob began to write.

He held the notebook out to Seth when he was done.

Seth read out loud. "I can't talk. I'm a mute."

Everyone looked at each other.

Keah stepped up, and said "I know sign language, just sign to me and I'll translate."

Jacob starting moving his hands incredibly fast, Keah spoke for him, "What happened? Is she ok?"

Brody answered, "Seth was driving, when he wasn't supposed to I might add, and he was backing up and he accidently hit her. The bus only tapped her, but she fell down and she can't walk. We think she sprained her ankle, but she'll be fine."

Jacob, again, began to move his hands quickly.

"Why is she passed out?" Keah asked, for him.

"We don't know. She was fine and awake when we brought her in here, and she just randomly passed out." I finally spoke up.

Jacob nodded.

He seems to really care about her; maybe this guy isn't so bad after all.

"Is there a way you can contact her parents?" Brody asked.

"Her dad died when she was seven, and her mom just doesn't care about her." Keah translated, "She lives with me, but my parents don't have much money."

"What if she stayed with us?" I asked everyone stared at me, "For the time being, at least." I added.

"That's not a bad idea, Nathan." Brody said.

I was in shock; I didn't think anyone would actually go for my idea.
