Unpredictable (VegetaxGoku)

Goku: "Do I really want to?"

It had been a week now and things were going great for Goku and Vegeta. They had been hanging around, doing random things either of them could think of, and would end up having to flee the place they were at due to how much they destroyed the place.

As for how Goku was doing with being civil, he was making progress but recently he had been sort of reverting back to his old ways. Bulma was getting annoyed and worried because she was unsure what was going on with Goku. She would try to ask questions but Goku was never really sure what Bulma meant when she asked.

Currently, Goku was sitting on Bulma's couch and waiting for the time him and Vegeta get to go hang out. Today, Goku was going to make Vegeta do stuff that involved other people and not just the two of them. He was thinking about doing community service and help build some buildings. It was actually Bulma's idea because it was a civil thing for the both of them to do.

Goku sighed as he slouched in his seat. He couldn't lie to himself anymore. He hated this whole trying to be civil thing. It was no fun, and stupid. There is no training involved and it has him doing all this stuff for someone that doesn't like him for who he is.

This is for Chichi. She deserves to be happy. I am doing this for Chichi. This is so I can go back home with Chichi.

"Do I really want to?" Goku asked himself.

"Want to what?" Vegeta asked. Goku looked up and smiled at the older Saiyan.

"Do I really want to train?" Goku asked.

"And do you?" Vegeta asked.

"Of course!" Goku shouted, jumping to his feet.

"That's the most logical thing I have heard you say all week. Come on! I have a place we can go train." Vegeta motioned Goku to follow. Goku followed after the older Saiyan with the biggest smile on his face.

I don't want to go back home. I like it here. I like being with Vegeta. I can deal with living like this and not having her in my life. It isn't like she was really in it anyways.

Vegeta took off to the skies and Goku made sure to follow. Vegeta then lead Goku to a barren area that was miles away from any sort of civilization. The two then began to train with one other, throwing punches and kicks, both hitting each other quite a bit but not dealing serious damage. At least, at the beginning. It quickly escalated to them both turning Super Saiyan Blue and going all at it with one another.

When they were done, the sun was going down. Vegeta wanted to leave so they could go back and eat but Goku stopped him.

"I want to see the sunset!" Goku stated.

"Really Kakarot? That is so-"

"Please!" Goku begged.

Vegeta sighed. "Alright, fine. I'll meet you back at Bul-" Goku quickly grabbed Vegeta's hand, causing Vegeta to turn around.

"I want to watch it with you!" Goku chirped.

Vegeta's face began to go red and he quickly pulled his hand out of Goku's. Vegeta then turned away from Goku, making the younger Saiyan curious why Vegeta was blushing.

Maybe grabbing his hand was a bad move. I didn't mean anything by it, though...I want to hold his hand again.

Vegeta flew up and over to a nearby plateau. He then turned to Goku and motioned him to follow. "Come on, dumbass! We'll get a better view up here."

Goku squeaked with joy and quickly flew to Vegeta's side. Goku then sat down and pulled Vegeta down with him.

"Will you stop grabbing me?" Vegeta shouted as he pushed Goku away from him. Goku just laughed then turned back to the setting sun.

The two were quiet for a long time and Goku liked it. He normally hated the quiet but something with Vegeta just being there, only inches from him, made him like the quiet. He liked Vegeta's presence near him. He never wanted it to go away.

"What made you want to see a sunset now?" Vegeta asked, breaking the silence.

Keeping his gaze on the sunset, Goku thought for a moment to think of why he actually wanted to see the sunset today. Goku smiled and, with a slight chuckle, he responded, "I don't know!"

"You're a damn idiot," Vegeta stated.

"And you're a blushing fool," Goku responded back, in his best Vegeta voice. Goku looked over and saw Vegeta blushing again but he looked angry.

"Why do you blush so much, Getes?" Goku asked.

"Shut up!" Vegeta responded. It made Goku laugh and it felt great.

After a while, the two fell silent again. It didn't last long, however. Goku needed to ask just one last question.

"Can I rest my head on your shoulder?" Goku asked, completely serious.

Vegeta rolled his eyes, his face going red again, as he said, "No." Goku ignored Vegeta and rested his head on his shoulder anyways. Goku closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment, as it wouldn't last for long. Either because Vegeta pushes him off, or the kink in Goku's neck drives him to sit up.

"I said no, Kakarot," Vegeta growled.

"You smell nice," Goku responded.

"Are you ok?" Vegeta asked.

Goku giggled. "I am fine! I am with my best buddy and we are watching a sunset together after training for hours. I call that being perfectly fine."

Vegeta stayed quiet. Goku was about to lift his head to make sure Vegeta was alright but Goku felt Vegeta softly push him away. "You are going to get a kink in your neck if you keep your head like that," Vegeta said softly. Goku was about to say something but stopped when Vegeta scooted closer and rested his head on Goku's shoulder.

"Are you ok?" Goku asked.

"Just shut up and watch your damn sunset," Vegeta stated. There wasn't an aggressive tone or any sort of growl. It sounded strange but Goku liked it. So, to keep Vegeta in a good mood, he did as he was told. Yet, with his mouth closed, not saying a word, his mind was extremely active in thought.

I knew Vegeta was a big old softy! That explains why he blushes so much and everything. It makes him so cute! I don't want to lose this part of him. I am sorry Chichi. I don't think I will be coming back as the man you want me to be. Vegeta is what means the most to me, now.

This chapter probably made no sense but that is ok! Things will be explained further in the next chapter! Hope you all are enjoying this slow go of a book. Since I definitely am! Especially since my other DBZ themed book is a little intense right now and I need this kind of story to balance things out. Anyways, hope you enjoyed and I will talk to you all next chapter!
