Vegeta woke up and stretched as he got out of his bed. He walked to the living room and saw Bulma sitting there with Trunks. They were watching tv but both turned and looked at Vegeta as he walked in.
"Morning dad!" Trunks chirped.
"What's for breakfast?" Vegeta asked.
Vegeta's complete dodging of greeting his son didn't phase Trunks in the least as he got off of the couch and began to walk in the kitchen. Bulma smiled and turned back to the tv. Puzzled, Vegeta reluctantly followed his son into the kitchen and saw pans with lids on them on the stove. Trunks handed his dad a plate and uncovered one of the pans and revealed a bunch of bacon and sausage. Trunks got a spatula and took all of the meat and put it on the plate.
Trunks then uncovered another pan to show hash browns. After putting a lot on Vegeta's plate, Trunks uncovered the last pan to reveal some eggs. After Trunks completely stacked as much as he could on his dad's plate, Trunks grabbed some of the pans and put them in the kitchen sink which was filled with water.
"There you go dad!" Trunks said and began to clean the pans.
Vegeta, not entirely sure what was going on but didn't really care to question, went to the dining room and sat down. He began to eat, the way Saiyan's do.
When Vegeta was half way done, Bulma came into the dining room and placed a large glass of milk next to Vegeta. Vegeta grunted, showing his form of thanking her, and she simply smiled as she sat down across from him and watched him. It didn't bother Vegeta in the slightest. What did bother him was how come both his son and ex-wife are acting really strange and almost kind.
Something has to be up.
Vegeta stopped eating and stared at Bulma. "What's going on?" Vegeta asked.
"Oh nothing. Just keep eating your breakfast. After that we are going to play a board game!" Bulma said with a smile.
"Woman, you know I do not like-"
"You will play the damn board game with us or I am grounding you from the gravity chamber!" Bulma shouted.
"I am not a child so you can't do that!" Vegeta shouted back.
"My house, my rules!" Bulma said sternly.
Vegeta grumbled as he went back to eating. Bulma left him to go to the kitchen to check on Trunks. Once Vegeta was finished, he brought his plate to the kitchen. Trunks ended up taking it from him and washed it for him.
"I got this dad! You just go to the living room. Mom is there with the board game. I will be right out."
Vegeta eyed his kid but said nothing as he went to the living room to find Bulma sitting on the ground with a board game set up on a table.
"You know it would be better if we played this on the kitchen table," Vegeta stated. Bulma just glared at him, seeming to have fire in her eyes. "Alright," was all Vegeta said as he sat down opposite of Bulma.
No more than a few minutes pass and Trunks comes bounding into the kitchen. He takes his seat on the ground and Bulma begins to explain the board game rules.
Vegeta wasn't really paying attention as he was thinking about what these two were up to. They have never acted like this before so something had to up.
But what though?
"Your turn Vegeta," Bulma said as she handed him some dice. Vegeta looked at the board and rolled his eyes as he saw how stupid it looked. The game play was simple, get your character to the spot where it said END first. Vegeta has never played this sort of a game before but he got the basics understand with what little he heard from Bulma's explanation.
Vegeta rolled a 2 and a 6, so grabbed his little character- that looked like a child made it in school during crafts- and moved 8 paces.
For the next hour and a half, Vegeta soon found out how more complex this game was. With every space you had to draw a card that would either allow you to attack a player, set a trap, or anything else to send the other players back. It was frustrating but fun at the same time. Trunks was very good at this game and it allowed Trunks and Vegeta to compete since Bulma wasn't doing so well at the game.
In the end, Bulma actually won because she got one card that made it where Vegeta and Trunks couldn't move for two turns. After that lead she ended up taking first place. Vegeta ended up getting second place but it was a close call. If he hadn't have drawn the a trap card that made Trunks go back five spaces, Vegeta would have been dead last.
"Victory for Vegeta!" Vegeta shouted when he won second place.
"Looks like you will always come second, Vegeta," Bulma said then chuckled. Vegeta glared at Bulma but was in too good of a mood from beating his son that he didn't argue. It would come up later and they could fight about it then.
"Did you like the game dad?" Trunks asked.
"It was alright," Vegeta said, acting his normal self again. "Some of the cards were confusing and the characters could look better but it was an ok game."
Vegeta saw a smile grow on Trunks' face and Vegeta sighed as he ruffled Trunks' hair. "You pick the game?" Vegeta asked.
"You bet! I found it when I went shopping with Goten and Chichi!" Trunks said with a big smile.
"Well, can you clean this up Trunks while your father and I go talk?" Bulma asked.
"Sure!" Trunks began to put up the pieces.
Bulma stood up and motioned with a stern look for Vegeta to follow. Vegeta sighed and stood up, following his ex-wife. She lead them to her room and shut the door. She turned to Vegeta and folded her arms.
"Now that you are in a better mood, I need to tell you something."
I knew something wasn't right.
"So Goku and I have been talking. We came to a conclusion that you and him are both needing help in some way. So, we came to a compromise. Everyday for the next month, Goku will spend half a day with me learning to be civil while the other half will be time he spends with you, so you can learn to me more social."
Vegeta clenched his fists as he glared at his blue haired ex-wife. He couldn't believe she would do something like this to him when she knew he despised having Goku around. Who was she to say how he should live his own life? He was the Prince and no one told him what he couldn't do, especially if it wasn't hurting anyone.
"You what!" Vegeta shouted.
"You are too strict Vegeta! You also hardly leave the house! It isn't good for you! You should be thanking Goku because he was the one that suggested this instead of allowing me to kick you out of my house!" Bulma shouted.
"Why would Kakarot even care! He should be concerned more about cheering up his wife then me!" Vegeta shouted back.
"Well at first Goku didn't even care about being civil! I was the one that had to make Goku use half his day to learn to be civil!" Bulma shouted but much quieter.
Vegeta growled and turned away from Bulma. "I do not except," he grumbled.
"I don't care what you say! You are hanging out with Goku for a day or you are getting kicked out!" Bulma said sternly.
Vegeta growled again and stormed out of Bulma's room.
"Vegeta!" Bulma shouted angrily.
"I'll fucking do it! Anything to shut your god damn mouth!" Vegeta shouted. He stormed into his room and slammed his door shut. He felt the need to punch something, so he headed back out of his room to the gravity chamber and spent the rest of the day in there.
Once it was about midnight, Vegeta came out, completely battered and exhausted. He made his way to his room and plopped onto his bed.
Stupid Kakarot. Why does he even care?
"Baka," Vegeta mumbled the Japanese term he learned from Trunks then drifted of to a deep sleep.
Wow! Been a long time since I wrote in this! Sorry for taking so long! I got rather consumed with another story but now that it is finished I get to focus back on this! Yay! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!
