Melanie POV

"Wazzam Mel, long time no talk."Chad grinned as I dapped him and Nyla up.

"Hey... Where's everyone else?"I asked, taking my place at the one of the registers.

"James had the day off, Terrance is out sick. Harley is in the back and Carmen isn't here yet."Nyla replied.

"You the only nigga today,"I laughed and Chad smacked his lips. "Mayne look so check this out,"He started. "Some customer called complainin' and na' one of the owners of Footlocker tryna come watch us."

"Who?"I asked, looking up from starting the register.

"Ion know but what I do know is, we can't be foolin' 'round today."He responded. I rolled my eyes. "I dare they fire me,"I snapped jokingly.

"You gon' be the first one to go why you playin'."Nyla said, we all laughed. "Shid, i'ma take my ass to Kids downstairs."I say, entering my password in the computer. Kids Footlocker was right under us, on the first floor. Carmen walked in, closing the door behind her. We had ten minutes till opening, she was late.

"Hey guys!"She greeted. "Girl you late,"I replied.

"I know, Vincent wouldn't let me leave."She chuckled. "Chad give her the run down."Nyla spoke, working the register next to mine. Once Chad gave Carmen the run down, her reaction was "hewl nah!".

She went to open the store doors, the mall was just opening. It's hella busy in the morning due to people either waiting at the door or in their vehicles for the mall doors to open. Today, I'm working the register. I hate having to go back and forth looking for the right size shoe for customers, its just too much for me.

"Ma'am, your card declined."Nyla whispered to the lady so nobody in the line could hear. "What? Try it again."The lady replied, clutching her sons hand. He had some damn big feet to look eight years old.

"It declined again,"Nyla said handing the card back to the lady. "Are we getting my shoes or not mama,"He asked, pulling at the bottom of her shirt. She sighed as people in the line huffed and scolded, becoming impatient waiting. "Damn,"I mumbled. I bagged a customers shoe box, pretending that I wasn't listening in on their conversation. "Lemme try this again."The lady said, swiping her card. The buzzer sounded, that's the third time.

"That's the third time ma'am."Nyla says.

"I—I can pay for you."I spoke up, pulling cash out of my bra. "It's not much but should be enough to pay for the shoes for your son."I handed the wad to her, without counting it myself. "Thank you, there's twenty left."She moved out of the line, over to me. "Keep it, buy you and your son something pretty."I reply. She thanked me again, before leaving the store with her son in tow. "Nyla you are so mean!"I laughed. "Sorry, I'm keeping it professional today."She flipped her hair over her shoulder. I rolled my eyes and continued my work.

Kamille POV

"Can you stop that,"I asked/snapped at Desiré.

"I'm not bothering you!"She retorted, continuing to tap her nails away on the computer. I rolled my eyes.

"You're distracting me."I say, flipping the page of one of the many sheets in the packet. I decided to bring my work home today, thinking it would be peace and quiet but I was wrong. Apparently, Desiré had the same idea because she was here, blue printing on her computer. We were both on far sides of the bed, far away from each other but she still found ways to annoy me.

"I'm trying to concentrate in the comfort of MY own home but your tapping is distracting me."I say through clenched teeth. Ugh, Desiré just gets me so mad. I think she's secretly trying to push me out of this three party relationship, just so she can have Melanie to herself... Whatever. If Melanie had to choose, I just know she'd pick me. I really don't care too much for Desiré, why should I? If Mel ain't around, she and I are always fighting. However, we manage to put on a front for Mel to think we get along, for the sake of Mel.

"Oh my god, bruh shut up."She snapped.

"Make me,"I spat. Truth is, I'm like so tired of her. I'm too pretty to actually fight somebody, so I usually stay out of situations like this but oh, she's pushing it.

She smirked, scooting across the bed, over to me.

"Oh, I'll make you!"She said, roughly yanking me up.

"No, stop!"I say, as she lifted my shirt. "Shut up,"she mumbled, unbuttoning my jeans. "Desiré stop before I call Mel,"I spoke as she undressed, I reached for my phone but she smacked my hand away.

She slammed into me, I let out a scream.

"Get off me,"

I kept screaming, hoping Tamara would hear me. Was she off today, I hope not!

I know I haven't had the best attitude towards Tamara but if I'm screaming like bloody murder was happening, wouldn't she come to see what was going on.

"Girl, what you calling me fo—."She stopped herself when she saw the sight. "Ooh,"She mumbled walking out, closing the door behind herself. Was this payback from the way I treated her, her first day of work? God!

"Na' what!? Nobody's here to save you, take it bitch. You gonna respect me."She yelled, slamming in and out. "Get off me,"I repeated, trying to get out of her grip when I heard the door handle jiggle. It jiggled for at least two minutes, as scratching sounded. It must be the dogs trying to get in. They hated being restricted from places. They'd find a way in if they really wanted to.

"You gonna respect me, you gonna listen to what the fuck I say."She spat. I listened in, hearing the dogs crying on the other side. "You gonna rot in hell,"I spat back, spitting on her shoulder. She screamed in disgust, running to the bathroom. I was shocked at myself for doing that.

"Yeah bitch!"I screamed, getting off the bed like nothing happened. I hurriedly put my clothes on, opening the door for Night and Day to come in.

They both came in, breathing hard probably tired from scratching at the door or crying. They both barked and kept barking, running around the room. Probably fussing at me for not opening the door sooner but I didn't care at the moment.

All I wanted right now was Melanie, MY girlfriend.
