Three Days Later-
Monday, July 24
Melanie POVMille leaves the house at nine o'clock every night. For days, I've been wondering where she goes. Tonight I am going to find out.
I got in my car and decided to follow her. She drove for a few minutes before pulling up to a small house. I waited for five minutes before parking right behind her. She went in the house and closed the door.
"The fuck is she doing?"I asked myself as I grabbed my black ruger. I got out of the car and shut the door. I walked around the exterior of the house, making sure the gun was loaded. I'm not afraid to shoot a person, I've done it before. I came past a window, looking right in. It was the living room. Mille and some chick were sitting mighty close to each other as they looked down at something.
The fuck were they doing in there and who is that chick.
I smirked and tried to open the front door, it was locked. Typical...
I shot off the lock and door handle, pushing it open.
"Who is she?"I asked. Mille jumped up which made the book fall on the floor. The girl gasped. "Mel baby put the gun down. We can talk about this!"She shouted trying to rush over to me but her belly stopped her from moving fast.
"Don't tell me what to do! Who this bitch?"I asked, waving the gun around.
"Sit down."
"I ain't sitting on shit!"I screamed. "Who is she and why you over here?"
"That's Tamara dumb ass!"Mille yelled, snatching the gun from me.
"That ain't no Tamara!"I snapped, going over to the chick who was still sitting on the couch scared.
"Yes, I am."She stood up, hugging me. I took in her facial looks. Those small brown freckles and green eyes. Her hair was cut short.
"Oh, hey girl! But that doesn't answer why you're over here."I said as I turned to Mille. "First off, she called me last week and we've been trying to plan a welcome home party. But I guess we can't do that now that you know."Mille rolled her eyes and mushed my face.
"Where were you all this time?"I asked, falling into the chair behind me.
"I was out at the store and I got kidnapped... I got shipped off to Japan. I didn't see daylight for weeks until I was sold into human trafficking."Tamara spilled, refusing to look up as she fiddled with the end of her shirt. Oh, damn!
"My parents bought this house for me after I escaped two years ago."She continued.
"What have you been doing this whole time?"
"Nothing. I had to change my hair length and color, the way I dress. I have to wear make up each time I go out."
The room fell silent before Tamara spoke again. "I need to get back to work."
"You're always welcome."
She smiled. Mille and I went home. "You didn't have to bust up in there like that!"Mille screamed into the phone.
"I thought you was cheating."I said into the phone.
"Well I wasn't, I never will."
"Better not. You got ruger?"
"Yeah and you not getting it back."
"Why!?"I whined.
"Because you acted childish tonight. Flashing this damn gun in people faces like you the shit."
