Melanie POV

"Er!"I repeated, cocking my head to the side. Night and Day were watching me intently, waiting for me to drop a piece of sausage on the floor for them to fight over.

I dropped two but they both seemed to fight over one of them. "Are they play fighting or serious?"Mille asked, walking into the kitchen.

"I don't know. I'll stop them when I see blood."I answered.

"No, stop them right now. They look serious."She said, watching them closer.

"Pulling each others tails is not serious. Just sibling bonding."I tell her.

"Like me and Justin?"She asked, referring to her deceased brother. He died at just eleven, due to unessesary police brutality. I used to watch her and Justin play wrestle all the time when she was younger. Justin was only a few weeks older than Mille. Them being close in age is what really brought them together, growing up.

"No,"I laughed. "That was something serious. Y'all was making each other bleed. Your mom and dad would have to break it up."I replied.

She smiled, obviously reminiscing about her family. First, Justin died when she was ten. When she was fifteen, her mom hung herself over depression. Then, all that was left was her and her dad. He electrocuted himself to death, I like to believe it was an accident though.

"Here, eat this."I sat the breakfast plate in front of her, trying to change the subject. Her eyes watered, signaling that she was about to cry. Years later, her family's death was still and always will be a touchy topic for her. Damn!

"Thanks."she muttered. We ate in silence and went to get dressed for work.

"What you thinkin' 'bout?"I asked, glancing over at her as I drove us away from the house. "I'm not thinking about anything."She replied.

"You sure?"

"Mhm, blank."

"Blank?"

"Yep."

I sighed, knowing she didn't want to talk. I wasn't going to force her to talk, so we rode in silence. Silence all the way to her job, then silence to mine.

Sadly, she was there but not there. I hope her mood changes back to happiness. And I know just the way to fix it. Just wait!

I picked up a nice little subway sandwich for Mille and a salad for myself. I had just got off of work but Mille was going into lunch. I planned on spending the rest of her work day in the office with her. But she doesn't know that!

"Who are you looking for?"The lady at the desk asked. "Doesn't matter."I replied, walking past her.

I went all the way to the back and opened the door. "Hey baby! I bought you lunch."I smiled, sitting the bag on the desk. "How you just gon' pop up on me like that!"She grinned, pulling me into a kiss. "I'm your fiance, I can do that."I giggled, pulling away from the kiss.

"Fiance?"Somebody asked after clearing their throat. I looked up to see... Angel.

"Well hello. You work here?"I asked, getting comfortable in Mille's lap. "Yes, I do. But I didn't know you two were engaged."Angel replied.

"We've been engaged for a few months now."I showed her my engagement ring Mille gave me back in December, 2016.

"Oh, except the time you two were broken up for three days..."

I squinted my eyes at her. How did she know about that? "Well you know..."I trailed off.

"Well you know,"She mocked me. "Ask your lady, right there, about her loyalty."She smirked, almost like she was challenging me.

"Get out."Mille said through gritted teeth, digging her fingernails into my waist, tightly gripping it. I was used to her doing this when she was pissed or slowly becoming pissed.

"Okay, I'll get out."She got up but turned and glared at me when she reached the door. "You watch yourself."She put on a smile that I'm guessing was fake. "Have a nice wedding."She exited, slamming the door closed.

"What was that about?"I asked, pulling my salad out.

"Nothin', ion know. Angel crazy."She replied.

"What did she mean by 'check your loyalty'?"I continued, shifting in her lap, looking at her. "Just eat ya food."She opened the bag with her sandwich inside.

"No."I got up, going to sit in the chair in front of her desk. "What did she mean?"

She sighed. "A few weeks ago, I told you I was leaving if you picked Desiré over me. When I left, I noticed Angel. I was horny-."

"So you fucked her?"

"No, we just fingered each other and that was that."

"Oh."

"But I'm back with my soon to be wife so she irrelevant."She smiled which made me blush. I stuffed my mouth with the salad to hide my smile.

"It's that good,"

All I could do was nod as I licked the cucumber.

"Gimme some."She tried to pull the plate but I didn't let her. "Eat your own food."I mumbled.

"I finished it, na' feed me."

I giggled and went behind the desk, bringing the plate closer to us. "Here daddy!"I spoke, seducing her as I fed her some of the croutons.

We finished it but there was still left over dressing on the plate. "Mm."I moaned as I licked it off the fork. I put the trash in the bag and started to unzip her skinny jeans. "What you tryna get into?"She watched me. I chuckled and traced her opening, getting her nice and wet.

"I guess I'll get on down this road, get to cooking your dinner."I smirked and got off my knees, going around the desk and grabbing my purse.

"Nuuh! Get back here."

"Bye, baby! See you at home."I blew her kisses and exited the office, entering the hall. On my way out, I bumped into none other than Angel's angry ass.

"I will ruin your wedding."

Two huge time skips ahead.
