Two Years Later
Melanie POV

"You really buggin' dude."Mille rolled her eyes as I continued to poke her side.

"Where's your humor?"I asked in a dull tone as I got closer to her to snuggle.

"You look beautiful."I grinned. She blushed, trying to hide her smile. Her two month old belly stuck out in the maternity shirt.

A year and a half after we got married, we started working on a baby. Our wait was prolonged because of Mille's fears. Some years ago we lost the baby by sex and she just doesn't want that to happen again. So no sex for the next nine months, just a lot of oral. That's fine with me, as long as the baby stays healthy and unharmed. Just seven months and a week left.

Shit has changed a lot around here lately. Mom and Dad moved to Mississippi a month ago and Marla and Abigail live with them. About a year ago, Marla spoke out about Caleb putting his hands on her. She's been living with them ever since.

As bad as it seems, I don't feel bad for her at all to be honest. I have no type of sympathy for her, just empathy. If I was in her shoes, I would've left a long time ago. Don't give me all that shit about "it's not that easy" Or "if I leave, he will find me". No, pack yo shit up while he's not around and leave. Hell, go to another continent or something. But anyways...

Day and Night are two years old, going on twenty with their lil bad asses thinking they run shit! But it's okay, their getting older and deserve some authority.

On the other hand, Tamara is still nonexistent. We haven't been able to get in touch with her in years but whatever. She'll show up sooner or later.

Both of us eventually quit our jobs months ago. Footlocker just wasn't where I'm at in life anymore. I now work as a medical practitioner- physician to be exact. Like I always wanted to do!

Mille doesn't work at all due to her pregnancy. She now owns hella businesses around the country, so our millions have increased by a lot since years ago. One things for sure, is that the family we're building is guaranteed to be financially stable.

I fixed my mouth to say something else but my phone ringing stopped me. My sister, Michelle was calling.

"Hello?"I asked, putting the phone to my ear.

"Hey sus! What you doin' right now?"

"Nothing why?"

"I have to ask you something."

"Ask,"

"Mama kicked Marla out."

"Why?"

"Because Marla refuses to get a job. You know mama don't like letting people stay in her house with no income."

"Why'd she wait years to kick her out?"

"Girl I don't know. But now they have no where to go."

"How does this pertain to me?"

"I can't house her because you know, Jarvin and I just welcomed our third baby. We have no extra rooms. I was calling to ask if you and Ka'Mille can house her. Just until she gets back on her feet."

"How's she gonna get back on her feet if she won't get a job?"I asked, trying to find a way around this.

"I don't know but can you?"

"She'll have to be woman enough to ask us herself. Until then, issa no from me dawg."

"I'll tell her to get in contact with you."

"A'ight."I hung up the phone, tossing it on the bed.

"What was that about?"Mille asked as she played with her new outtie navel.

"Nothing."I shook my head.

"Stop playing with that thing. Disgusting."I scrunched up my face and moved her hand from her belly button. "You hush, smell it."She giggled.

"Get that shit away from me."I say, trying to get off the bed but her fat ass sat on me.

"Smell it."She demanded, putting her finger right under my nose. I caught a whiff of her stinky finger.

"Ugh, it stinks. Go wash yourself."I said, pushing her hand away. "Doesn't smell that bad."She sniffed for herself. I straight faced her.

"You're lucky you're pregnant because if you weren't, I would've clowned the fuck out you for doing that, just na'."I smirked.

"Oh whatever."She rolled her eyes. "I'm going to the store, get up."I tapped her thigh.

"Ooh stop by Mary Lee's too. Get me some sour sweet candies and chips and pig lips."She listed when she got up. I nodded and pulled on my shoes, ready to go.
