|CHAPTER TWENTY|

"Brandon!?" I watched as Sean ran towards me and pulled me away from Brandon.

"What the hell Angeli! Don't you remember he is one of your killers? Are you wanting a death wish? Are you that stupid?" The closeness of his breath tingled my skin.

"What do you expect? I honestly don't care! My life is full of bullshit and I just don't care anymore!" Tears brimmed the corners of my eyes. The pain I had been holding for about six years are threatening to burst out.

The tension was broken after Brandon cleared his throat. "Sean? How are you!? I had never seen you since six years ago. What happened? Why did you disappear all of a sudden?"

Sean did a handshake with Brandon. "Oh Brandon, I was too busy with my fiance' here." He glanced at me. I awkwardly stood there listening to their conversation. I felt like an outcast.

"Fiance'? Well congrats dude!" Brandon patted Sean on the back. "Invite me to the wedding okay? Oh yeah! Speaking of romance, guess what?"

"What?"

"I am happily together with Stacey!" Both Sean and I's eyes widened at Brandon's news. "I know it is a shocker, but she honestly changed the past years. She's gone softer."

"Well I'm happy for you Brandon. Now if you would excuse Angeli and I for we have to get back to a meeting."

"Alright! See you around Sean. Angeli." I bid him goodbye as Sean pulled me away from him. He dragged me towards his car parked at the curb.

"Sean? Why do I feel like I know Brandon? Why do I feel a connection with him?"

What a random thought.

"Shut up An! I don't care what you feel towards Brandon. You don't go around kissing random strangers, surely if it is someone who is out to kill you!" Sean shoved me into his car and slammed the door. He ignited the engine and drove off towards our hotel.

"I did not kiss him! He was trying to kiss me! Besides, what do I have to lose if he will kill me on the spot? Nothing!"

"Shut up An! Can't you just shut your damn mouth? I know you have problems but your thoughts are down right unreasonable. Can we just talk about this when we get to our room?"

"What? When we get there, you wouldn't give me the chance to speak my thoughts. You rather bombard me with accusations and insults that hurts me within. You would even threaten to hurt me, and your eyes say that you would. Don't you ever consider how I feel? Don't you ever consider my thoughts? Don't you consid-"

"I said to shut your damn mouth!"

He threw his hands of the wheels, and I earned a new red mark on my cheek. The car swerved to the left and almost hit the by-passing van. The driver of the van repeatedly honked the horn at us. Sean regain his posture on the wheel and continued to drive.

"Again, I am correct. You wouldn't even try to hear me all out," I said under my breath as I massaged my cheek to ease the pain.

The car suddenly stopped sending me crashing to the dashboard.

"Get out," demanded Sean.

"Why?"

"I said get out," he repeated, yet this time his voice had volumed.

"We aren't at the hotel yet."

"GET OUT!"

This time, Sean leaned across and opened the door. He unbuckled my seatbelt and pushed me out of his car, sending me to topple down on the road. He slammed the door close and drove away.
