|CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT|
"Momley? Can we ride the horsey?"
"Sure!" I took out two tickets from my purse and walked Thomas towards the carousel ride. The lady in the front of the line took our tickets and permitted us to enter.
"I want the blue horsey!" Thomas pulled me towards the horse of his choice. I hoisted him onto the horse and buckled him up in place.
I may had spaced out during the rounds of the ride. I couldn't believe that my life did a huge one-eighty, from miserable to happy. Things may kind of had become brighter. Now, Thomas is in my custody and is currently living with Sean and I. Plus, believe this! Sean actually agreed to the idea and is going real well with Thomas. He seems to find the bond with him now, though he hadn't wish to in the first place. One big, happy family? Yeah, you can say that.
Soon, the ride came to a stop, and I had to get Thomas off of the horse. I carried him to an ice cream booth where I bought him the fifty-hundred scoops he requested a few days or weeks back. Well, of course, not literally okay. Thomas isn't able to eat all those scoops until he graduates and has kids. Wait, what am I saying?
My thoughts were disrupted when Thomas tugged my blouse. "Momley. Can I ask a question?"
"Sure son." I crouched down to his level and waited for his question. "What is your question?"
"Do you see that family right there?" Thomas pointed towards the family seated on the table near us. "Are we like them?"
Thomas' question kind of dumb-strucked me. What did he mean "like them". "Son. Aren't we and your Daddy Sean a one happy family?"
He nodded. "Yeah. But is Sean really my daddy?"
"Son, what made you ask that question?"
"Well, I heard you and Daddy talking about a guy name B- Bre- Brandon. Then, you said that daddy should suck it up and just act like a daddy towards me." He turned to look into my eyes. His next words brought panic in me. "Is that true?"
I shook my head and placed my hands on his shoulders. "Thomas. Do you really believe Daddy Sean acts like he is your daddy?" He nodded. "Well, there goes your answer. Daddy is your daddy then. It don't matter about if he is your real father or not. It matters if he acts like a real daddy to you, which he does."
"Okay. But, can we buy him something to show that i love him?" Thomas asked.
"Sure. What do you think we should get him?" i asked.
"We should get him that Superman cape! The one that is like mine! So, Daddy and I can match!" He exclaimed happily. He started jumping and running around like Superman. "I want to save the world, and I want Daddy to be my side kick."
I chuckled as I teared up a little bit. "Yes. Let's go get Daddy a cape now?"
Thomas nodded. I took his hand in mind and strolled through the booths, finding the cape for Sean.

"Hey Emily. Look what was in the mail."
I took the blue envelope from Sean's grasp and pulled out a fancy-looking invitation. A wedding invitation, to be exact.
"You are invited to witness the wedding ceremony of Brandon Smith and Stacey Morgan," I read out aloud. "Date: June 13, 2014. That is like a week from now!"
"Woah. Their wedding is on a Friday the thirteenth." Sean said. "Let's go attend. We need to at least show our support to their love. Well, do you support their love Emily?"
