Chapter 22 - You and Me

Phoenix POV

One by one, Sins were sighted around the city. Civilians ran around pressing every League button they could find.

All of the Sins including King gathered in Gein Avenue.

We were all wearing our Illusion Rings.

It was just the eight of us. We could've had more if King hadn't insisted attacking now.

King laughed at the panicking civilians. "Even if you don't press the button, the Patriots will still come here."

"You mean you planned all of this already?" A random civilian asked.

"You actually think we'd come here without a plan?" I mocked.

"Everybody go to the evac center!" A voice ordered.

All the civilians were already on their way to the evacuation center.

"Well, well, if it isn't Dragon." I said in a singsong tone.

"Phoenix." He acknowledged.

"I thought you'd send wannabe superheroes to handle us." Sakura stated.

Angel scoffed. "We can't ignore a threat letter written in red crayon and a hologram video of King."

The rest of the Sins and King looked at me. I shrugged. "What?"

King looked back at the Patriots. "It's time the League goes out."

"We'll never go out." Zoom said, preparing his batons.

Hunter took out his guns. "We'll see about that, yeah?" Hunter smirked. "After you."

Zoom's eyes glowed an angry red. He ran at full speed towards Hunter. Hunter put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't let Sakura get so stressed."

I smirked. "No worries."

Hunter led Zoom away. They both began fighting at full speed on the walls of the building.

Dragon looked at Smoke and nodded. "Do it."

Smoke began forming thick black smoke around us. I looked at Tornado and nodded. "Let it rain."

Tornado stretched out his hands. Dark clouds formed together. Thunder roared from the dark clouds. Rain started to fall. The wind was strong, it swept away the black smoke Smoke had formed.

Tornado stood by my side. "I'll make sure Smoke doesn't create anymore of those black smoke."

I nodded. "I trust you'll do."

Tornado summoned a small tornado strong enough to sweep Smoke away from me.

"Your sidekick left you Dragon." I mocked.

He smirked. "Yours will too." He nodded at Angel.

Angel flew towards Sakura. Sakura unsheathed her katana and positioned it in front of Angel's throat.

Angel smirked. "I'm very hard to beat, you know."

"Why? Cause you heal?" Sakura smirked. "I'll slow time enough for me to cut throigh your heart."

Sakura seems to have stopped time because the next thing I knew, she was hitting Angel with her katana's hilt. Angel flew far from us.

She saluted towards me. "I'll take care if this."

"Don't strain yourself." I reminded her before she went after Angel.

"I suggest you don't do that." I heard Zero say.

I looked behind me. Buddy's upper body came out of this portal, his hand stretched out to strangle but was held by Zero.

Zero pulled him from the portal and threw him on the ground. "Would you like to know how cold it is until you die?" Zero gasped.

I looked at Ghost. "Hmph. Figures." I signaled Elemental. "Stop him."

Elemental raised his arms. The ground pulled Ghost's feet down. Buddy got up and tried to swing his fist toward me but Zero caught his arm and froze half of it. Zero signaled Elemental. "Let's take these two for a joy ride." Elemental buried Buddy's feet underground. He willed the earth to take them far.

Zero put a hand on my shoulder. "We'll take care of it." Zero and Elemental both went after Buddy and Ghost.

Bright light beamed towards King. I nodded at Midnight. A wall of darkness appeared in front of King.

Sun and Moon (A/N: Shoutout to those who've played Pokémon Sun or Moon) frowned. Midnight disappeared in the darkness. Sun and Moon looked around for Midnight. While they looked at me and King, Midnight appeared behind Sun and Moon. He nodded at me before pulling Sun and Moon in the darkness.

"King, take Sage."

He grinned. "With pleasure."

"Leave him alive."

He nodded before running at full speed toward Sage. Dragon went in front of Sage and blocked King's fist.

I dashed towards Dragon and punched him.

Sage glared at us. "Tch." He ran towards Dragon.

"King!"

King ran after Sage. Once he caught up, he pushed him away from Dragon. Far enough for him not to interfere.

I walked towards Dragon. "It's just you and me now, Dragon."
