Sakura POV
We went back to the League Hall to assess the situation.
"What the hell do we do now?" Hunter asked himself.
The rest of the Sins were silent. Their faces said it all. How do we face Joanna? Considering her superpowers, it was nearly impossible to defeat her.
No.
"We can still fight her. We can still manage to defeat her." I said with confidence.
"How? She's a Goddess, Sakura." Buddy said in dismay.
"Just because she's a Goddess doesn't mean she's unbeatable." I cleared my throat. "Okay so, Joanna has always been used to using telekinesis only. She rarely uses Mimicry."
"Rarely doesn't mean she won't use it." Dragon deadpanned.
"That's right. We can't guarantee that she's not gonna use it but!" They all looked at me. "She can't risk getting found out that Phoenix can use Mimicry which in turn will make people suspect that Joanna is Phoenix."
"We need to be prepared for their next move." Dragon declared. "Don't hesitate to hurt Joanna."
"But Cole---" Zoom started to protest.
Dragon held up a hand. "I know that she's our friend. My wife. But we have to stop her. We can't let our feelings get in the way of stopping her and getting to the bottom of this." He let out a breath shakily. "Right now, capturing her is priority number one."
I understood what he wanted, so I said it for him. "Dismissed."
The Sins and Patriots started to get up to leave leaving only me and Dragon in the Meeting Hall.
Tears began to fall from my face. Dragon looked at me with sympathy. "You couldn't have stopped it."
I sobbed. "I know but knowing I never tried hard enough to stop it hurts."
Dragon hugged me. "Don't worry. With our combined forces, I'm confident we'll be able to capture her."
I broke the hug. "She seemed so different."
He nodded. "Almost like she was being controlled."
I shook my head. "No, like she looked so angry."
Dragon frowned. "What would she be angry about?"
I sighed shakily. "Well, we'll find out once we get her."
Dragon nodded. "Go home and get some rest."
I nodded. "You too."
I left for my apartment. Doing my nightly routine of brushing my teeth and whatnots. I let sleep take me. Wanting to forget about what happened for just a night.
The following week, my morning was filled with impatient knocks on my door. I groggily got up and went out of my room to open the door.
"Double date?" My sister asked cheerfully. Clara was behind her.
I just stared. "Can't you tell I just woke up?"
"I can but I'm your sister and I don't care." Jane just let herself in.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, sure, come in." I said sarcastically.
She immediately made her way in my room.
"What is she doing?" Clara asked.
"She's your girlfriend, you should know." I pointed a finger to my room. "She's going to tell me to 'wear this'."
