I have no words for this one. I tried my best. Be gentle.
If 173 is human or not it's up to debate but I kept picturing him as being so. But, really it's up to interpretation I think.

.
.
.

173 didn't have a name. Or at least not one the he could remember. 173 was like a serial number. Murderer 173, he presumed. And that didn't matter - he was a killer. A well known one at that. Feared by many for his incredible speed and impossibly strong grasp. Everyone knew him as the shadow, that flicker in the corner of your eye before the sound of a fracturing skull or splintering neck. No one could rival his abilities. He was the ultimate hunter.

Was.

Never in his life had to chase someone, no one could escape his grasp. No one but them. And now he spent his life running, chasing, hunting. Trying so hard to capture that shadowy figure. Always getting teasingly close before slipping through his grasp.

Their movements were graceful and balanced, almost skipping across rooftops, looking back playfully to see if their pursuer followed. He did, and they wouldn't get away this time.

Little did they know they were being lured into a trap.

And now, Now they had exhausted their means of escape. No where to jump to from this rooftop but back the way they came. But 173 stood in their way.

They turned and looked back at him, gazes meeting as he came to a sudden halt, watching carefully for their next move, as still as a statue.

The grin on their face faltered, barely visible in the moonless night and they looked away, trying to find their next escape route.

Before they could 173 had moved, centimetres away from them, his figure looming over their form before their eyes shifted up to meet his again. And that smile returned.

Without hesitation they stood on their tiptoes, leaning into him and letting out a playful whisper.

"Catch me if you can."

173 was about to do just that when they placed a soft kiss on the side of his face before skipping around him. A stone cold killer should have no problem finishing someone off. But something caused him to almost freeze up entirely. Only turning when he heated their playful giggles fading in the distance.

The chase began again.
