I know this one's a piece of shit. Trust me. I'll do a better one in the foreseeable future but this was sort of just a warm up to get back into it. Still lacking motivation but I'm getting things done so here's a shitty ficlet.

"Finished!" you sighed happily, dumping a pile of papers on your boss's desk.
Kondraki had to peer over them from his seat to actually see you, they were that high. He gave you a quizzical look before looking through the top few papers, a frown forming on his face before he glanced back at you.
"These... were mine to do," he muttered slowly, not really seeming to grasp the concept of kindness and generosity.
"Well, yeah. But you were so loaded with work and you've been looking really tired lately so I thought I'd give you a hand," you smiled in response, giving the pile of work an acknowledging pat. It hadn't been easy but from what you knew Kondraki had been staying up all night finishing the less glamorous side of researching. It wasn't good for him and recently he hadn't really been 'with it'. You couldn't stand to see someone you cared about so much suffering. Of course you had to lend a hand. You worked your butt off to do it however at least Kondraki could get an early night.
"Careful, or you'll end up like Iceberg," Kondraki chuckled, a small smile appearing on his lips. One you hadn't seen in weeks. I'm made your heart flutter in your chest. You really did love him.
"Iceberg?" you questioned, only to have the so called king of the booterflies pull you down to eye level with him, you had to squat like you had a chair next to his. Kondraki pointed his fingers in the direction of a white haired man.
"Doctor █████. He got so good at paperwork he does basically everyone's now... well if you pester him enough," be told you in a hushed, mock serious tone. It looked like even Kain was pestering the poor man about paperwork. Iceberg looked like he was going to explode with anger.
"Noted," you muttered with mild interest as you watched the interaction between the two go on. Kain was doing the whole 'puppy-dog eyes' tactic. Although it didn't seem to be having an effect on the stoic Iceberg.
You laughed slightly, looking back up at Kondraki only to find him staring right back, chin resting under a closed fist, elbow on his desk.
"What?" You immediately felt your face turn a mild shade of red as you shifted nervously on your toes, eyes darting away from Kondraki.
"Now I owe you," he grunted, you saw him look up out of the corner of your eye.
"You don't have to. I mean you could get a good night's sleep," you suggested sheepishly.
"Got a better idea," he glanced at you in mild amusement, "I could share some top-secret information. But it's probably not something you'd be interested in."
He shrugged and started turning his chair away. It was typical of him to do this now and you, his poor gullible assistant now fell for it as much as you fell for him.
"I wanna know. I do!" you insisted, feeling much like a young child, begging their mother for candy.
He looked around, making sure no one was in war shot and held his hands to either side of his mouth.
You quickly edged closer, giving a nervous glance around. Having someone hear would probably not stand well with the superiors.
As you moved closer, so did Kondraki, slowly leaning down, then all of a sudden moving forward, pressing his lips against yours, throwing you off balance and causing you to fall back. Your head probably would've connected with a filing cabinet had the man not caught your wrist. Looking down to make sure you were okay before losing it, slowly letting you down while howling with laughter.
This was to the surprise of not only you but to all your co-workers who briefly paused what they were doing to stare at the laughing man before deciding there were better things to be staring at and continuing on what the were doing.
Turning red and unbelievably flustered you jumped to your feet brushing yourself off and trying to regain something of composure while Kondraki's fit of laughter slowly died down.
"What was that for?" you muttered quietly, stumbling over your words due to the lingering embarrassment.
"What do you think it was for?" He raised an eyebrow and looked back at his paper work.
"I'll be finished soon thanks to you," he muttered, glancing at you from out of the corner of his eye, "In pretty hungry but I don't think anyone would want to join me for dinner..."
